Warning!

Tonight before I am going to get started with my usual drivel I want to bring to the attention of all who use Triad Alcohol Prep Pads, Alcohol Swabs and Alcohol Swabsticks they have all been recalled due to POTENTIAL MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION!
The FDA: just copy and paste the site below for exact information:
http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/SafetyInformation/SafetyAlertsforHumanMedicalProducts/ucm239319.htm
Here in the USA the FDA recommends returning them to where they were purchased and of course, do not use them!
Teva says do not throw them out; save them! For anyone who doesn’t know who Teva is it is the manufacturer of Copaxone and they will be contacting all people involved shortly to tell you what to do with them. And you should substitute Isopropyl alcohol from the bottle on cotton balls or swabs instead for your personal use.

Moving on…
We must all be aware of anything that has a possibility of causing a severe problem apparently this microbial contamination would be showing up by not allowing a wound to heal. I suggest going to the Mayo Clinic site for accurate information just copy and paste: mayoclinic.com
Since inquiring minds need to know.

Any-who, we did get out on Thursday, I know that is days ago, but so much else has been going on…We had a very nice short outing to get my hair cut at that place I mentioned last time called First Impressions in Port Charlotte across route 41 from the Publix we go to and this time I did not get the blow dry and saved ten additional bucks but still got a great haircut! Then I miraculously walked with my walker, but I did have to rest on my walker seat from there to the Tai restaurant just around the corner from the salon in the same strip mall, and made it there. I mentioned it a while back too, their best deal is for lunch ours was delish once again. It had been months since we had been there and they are not open on Sundays and we tried another week day and there had been a death in their family if you all recall I had mentioned it in this blog and so they were closed. After that I thought we should go over to the Cultural Center thinking they might have something exciting going on since it was their forty-ninth birthday! But alas nothing for the public but some other closed meeting for something that was in the other rooms, and so Hubby and I wandered the rest of the shops, they have a few and I found two bargain 5”X7” picture frames for only three dollars.
Hubby and I both saw a Giclée beach scene of South Beach in Miami rather large but not too about 24”X 26”: Giclée is a neologism for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur"...just in case anyone was wondering...
We both like it and it was reasonable after all we were in the store called Trash or Treasure, but I still tried to negotiate the price down a bit, and he wouldn’t go any further than a few dollars worth. And so I pointed out the flaws; it appeared that some mold was growing on the inside of the glass possibly the print itself. The Latin gentleman who I later found out was named Rafael from Cuba stated that he had to come here to America by boat, huh? And that is why it was the best he could do…what?
And so we asked him if it might go down in price in few weeks, he said maybe if it doesn’t sell first, and we said thanks and good bye, as we paid for those frames and left.
Then yesterday out of the clear blue sky Hubby asked how much I liked the print and I said a bit and that I was wondering where I could put it if we did get it, and he said I should call to see if it was still there. Maybe Rafael would be ready to negotiate but he was still firm, and we gave in, in actuality it was a grand total of twenty bucks plus tax; not that bad for something of that nature, cheaper than most lunches for two out.
And so Hubby went back and got it and we took the back off and removed it from the frame and the glass was cleaned inside and out by him and I carefully dusted the fungus or whatever off the picture itself.

Oddly enough this morning I was so ill that I vomited even my stomach meds and all I had, had was water at that time. I had nothing to eat until the afternoon, it appears my sinuses were acting up or could it be a warning of buying something so extravagant and my mold allergy? Ha! I really don’t think so or perhaps, but since I diligently paid all of our bills to date for this month first and twenty bucks is hardly extravagant in anybodies book! Even have more than enough left over for my neuro's appointment next week!
Why do I always feel guilty getting something that is not a necessity? I deserve fun things too, don’t I?

Anyway on that note of self indulgence I would like to wish you all to splurge in this New Year, yes that’s the ticket… treat yourself well without any guilt! And have a very happy good night to all and to all count those blessings and share those overages and we will too! You betcha!

And next time be here or be square, ok?
