Sanctuary

A sanctuary is a place to feel safe and warm and fuzzy, nah happy and homey and that was H-O-M-E-Y, not H-O-M-E-L-Y, boy how just one little letter can change the entire picture of what I am trying to say… and carefree… home is where the heart is…how many clichés shall I spew?
Teasing but don’t we all want that from our houses, lofts, condos, apartments, boathouses or wherever you hang your hat? Anyway you put it, it is your home.

And since we all love our personal spaces as we should then we should try to better them periodically as we usually try to do with ourselves, since our homes are just an extension of our ids, correct? (For those who were wondering:In Freudian psychoanalytic theory, the ID is a part of the psyche that is unconscious and the source of primitive instinctive impulses and drives. The other parts of the psyche are the ego and the superego.) Some designers believe that our homes should come up to meet us, huh?
Does that sound bizarre to you?
It would if you only take it literally as if in an earthquake or tsunami.
But I am sure you understand that being that our homes are our havens, but in some cases they are also our work stations where there is no reason why they should not exude our true expression of our likes and dislikes in color and substance.
And so we should all be as happy as we can be in that designation of design or maybe our destination would be more appropriate on how we get to what we actually care for when we are considering how to make our abodes what we so much desire on a daily basis…joy?
Some prefer a peaceful setting but go with me here… if your home makes you smile daily what’s wrong with that?
In other words try to attain a joyful environment for you to have your daily smiles in; got that? Ours does.

In truth when we are happy in the one place where we can totally be ourselves then we can truly call it our refuge from the harsh realities of the outside world.

Hubby began several projects again today; I might also add self-imposed Hubby-dos.
He went to the home store and picked up mulch, garden ties, weed and feed and more paint etc. to make our home even lovelier than I already feel it is, sorry about that but I speak the truth about our little gem, at a cost of $112 for this project. Oddly enough his pension check came early and was automatically deposited and so I paid all our bills that were due next week online as well and saw that we could spend the monies for whatever we so desired to do, and we will still be getting the social security check next week too! That is a great feeling to be able to pay your own way, you know? That is called peace of mind, huh?
Any-who, there is no price on any of that since it adds only to the good feelings that all does for us with less worries.

Update: MRI results have not been revealed yet or I would have shared that with you too and I will when I find out. Apparently, my neurologist office closes early on Fridays and I forgot and so when I tried to call they were already gone for the day.

On that less than informative blurb I would still like to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night to all and to mention to you kindly to count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
