Last night we ate a healthy meal and again I felt rather poorly, and so for the heck of it about two hours later I checked my glucose and this time it was 206! Actually, it was higher than in the hospital when they gave me little (small amount of the insulin) injections of insulin, which did bring it down. Upset by that, Hubby suggested taking it again an hour later and so I did, and it did go down… but only to 200!
Then with Hubby’s caring suggestion he said try it tomorrow morning fasting when you have nothing left in you, and so I did and it was 124, not too bad but still not normal.
And so I started looking up when Walgreen’s was offering that free A1C test ( I do believe that it is a national offer), and wouldn’t you just know it was yesterday at the one right down around the corner and now todays would be quite a distance a way.
As a last resort and hopeful desire to have an answer to this newest health dilemma I thought well it’s a long-shot but I am using prednisone drops in the eye that had the cataract surgery, the order of administration was until it was all gone, and so I called my eye doctor’s office hoping against hope that that was all the problem was. They were very prompt and called back quickly and said no since it is only 1% saturation or some such thing and that was not enough to cause the problem like the 1000 MG of the IV drip of Solu-Medrol in the hospital, no way, no how.
Well, that just left me with one option to get to the bottom of this conundrum of a possible unhealthy disorder, and that was to make a doctor’s appointment, which I did get one for tomorrow afternoon! By then we should have our answer, one can only hope, can’t one. But not necessarily since in September I was designated as pre diabetic, and I did have a few numbers rather high in my testing kit which I was recommended to buy when this all started last April. Fortunately, I have extra testing strips so that is why I have been keeping track so diligently. I had been sent extras from the company that makes them when the first batch I had was determined to be damaged.
Tonight, again, I was eating dinner when a feeling of warmth came over me; of not the good kind. The not feeling well type and I had to stop eating, and put dinner aside. It was nothing bad either, baked chicken, baked potato and mixed steamed vegetables, baffling!
Oh well, tomorrow should help with a possible answer…if not… the truth is all I really want to know is that I have nothing to worry about and to be told to continue to eat healthy and spring will come soon and the pool should be warm enough for you to do your exercise program in, and then it will all go down to normal again, right? Right.
Good night to all and to all count those blessings and we will too!
