Kid here! I am pointing to my chest while saying that, and what a massive chest that is. (Hopefully a temporary situation, but I can remember many a time that I wished for these great thirty-eights when I was still at my scrawny fighting one hundred and three pound weight and flat-chested, irony.)
You see, right now I am still a fifty eight year young woman, and tomorrow I will be another year older and fifty nine ( if I recall the natural progression of such things, since, as we all know the memory is one of the first things to go in these later years.) Hopefully, that is if I am lucky enough to awake again tomorrow to attain it!
I don’t get it, I mean the problem everyone seems to have with stating how old they are; it seems to me it begins as early as the age of thirty these days. I have been not true to form for my baby-boomer generation, even my hubby cringes at the thought of his almost being sixty this November that is, a true seven and half months older than me; lucky guy, and I never ever let him forget it.
We should all celebrate these milestones, each and every year since we all in our hearts truly know that the only alternative to not getting any older is…dying young, still with your looks…
NO, it is not living any longer, and so party (responsibly, since we have maturity on our side) and make merry (responsibly, since we have maturity on our side, didn’t I just say that? Repeating ourselves is another not flattering aging sign.) and enjoy each and every day, because in reality we are not immortal and now I will take a big chance of being very corny… so in my opinion you should make the most of each and every sunrise and sunset, and all that space that falls in between.
On those positive notes I wish you all a good night and to all count those blessings and I will too!
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.
