Fog was in the morning atmosphere

And yes it looked like a day in London…town. La, la, la
For my own reasoning of being concerned of not being able to be seen, and with the humidity needless to say out of sight, actually in sight, plain sight that is; I decided to nix the walk for the day.

We did not return the gutters, by the way; my husband in his Rube Goldberg finest made them work. He cut aluminum to use as flashing fitting neatly into the gap that caused the leak; problem resolved.
The aluminum was used years ago to repair and old deck boat we had that had gotten smushed by a wave and it was only the surround above; the rest was unharmed since the body of boat was fiberglass, and so we still had a surplus remaining.

He worked diligently in repositioning the gutters though to flow towards the end of the yard on the other side of our arbor. My bad the first position that I thought would be good to the left of his bathroom window since it was a blank wall. But I hate to admit it, it is an eyesore, a garbage can, even on a pedestal it is still a trash can, even when it’s used for a rain barrel.
The other difficulty was, if you recall that it had done its job and was filled with water from a few nights ago, so we watered everything to empty it. We agreed to banish it behind the grapevine arbor out of sight but not out of mind creating a more aesthetic view in our backyard, but still within a handy useful location.

The configuration of the downspout with what we already have in our possession, aluminum pieces that survived Hurricane Charley; need to be used in a different way than before and my own in house self accused Rube Goldberg is taking a break from figuring out this latest dilemma. He just announced he was going to visit our neighbor across the street that is a wood carving artist/ construction guy, and a good source for local gossip.
One of the few original neighbors we have from our ten years here in this home and a homeowner that’s wife is a NMT, nuclear massage therapist.

All I know right now is how tired I am; it’s been terribly hot here all day, in the mid ninety’s and every-time I got comfy or tried doing something creative like making homemade soup, or just getting the laundry done today it seemed that I was summoned out of my air-conditioning out into the sweltering heat that my husband has never had an issue with to check on his decision to do something with the gutters or how it was being done. I don’t need to feel that self important, and he is more than capable to make those decisions himself, I guess he was lonely or enjoys my company or was helping me stay away from the frig or I don’t really know what… BUT IT WAS HOT OUT THERE!
And I really didn’t want to go out if I could help it, but dutifully I did.
Anyway, it has gotten cooler since and at this hour, about 7 P.M. it is all the way down to…90!

Good night to all and to all stay cool!
