Speaking My Mind: Posts for the so-called president want to be king ...
Posts for the so-called president want to be king of all Americas and other nations!
...I will not go that route.
The land conqueror is saying he wants the world to be all his!
He thinks he has no limitations...but we all know that is untrue!
Many lands will stop him with the realization that he has no power in their countries!
Moving on...
In a little while, the Littles go for their grooming.
They both seem to enjoy it.
Neither shed being a Bichon Frise and a Morkie, Maltese Yorkie, their hair would grow and become unruly if we did not take them regularly for their haircuts. Every two months is good for them.
Some go for shorter periods, but they are just right with theirs.
We save some money with me bathing them and time too... If bathed there they usually would be staying for the day. This way it's only about an hour!
Let me introduce you to the crew...
Lastly, moving on to who they are, our crew...
I am called Aussie because my mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl looking at me in the crate I was in at the adoption site that day what she thought I should be named. Mom asked her age, but not her name—ha! Without hesitation, the teenager said Aussie! By the way, she was just looking, so my mom did not steal me from her.
We never discovered the girl's name; Mom liked Aussie, too. Since then, we have found that it is a ubiquitous name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon, even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd, a red Merle. And here is an interesting factoid about me: I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but as you might know, I AM NOT! I am a standard Australian Shepherd! Although I am now seven years old, I am the baby. I am the largest of fur babies, and due to my breed and being standard, I am just right.
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been removed from a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter.Above is my PIC, taken on the birthday I shared with my dad, but dad is much older than I am!!! I was the first to be adopted, on February 16, 2018, on Dad's brother's birthday.
My previous family turned me in, stating that I had misbehaved with their elderly dog. It had been said that I was driving him crazy! I was the second to be adopted on 8/18/18, clearing out the shelter's day!
My record called me Belle, so for no known reason, Mom decided I was more of a Bella. I was beautiful either way!
Hey, wait! Please don't forget me! I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am 13-ish years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps late with Dad, till after seven most days, even later sometimes!
I enjoy a good tug-a-war on the ropes Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays, too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.
I had been wandering the neighborhood for days when I saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window, so I hung out there.
The animal control lady had been called and came out to see if I had a chip ID with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason is that if no one claimed me, "I want to give him a second chance!" So that is how I got the name Chance!
The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen
days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening.
Easy as Aussie, Bella, and Chance, now you've got it! In order of adoption!

Speaking My Mind: Being stupid bragging, I knew what I was doing...
Being stupid bragging, I knew what I was doing...
I did something stupid yesterday. When asked if I could fill out the electronic computerized form, I said, "I have been on computers since 1982." Which I have been... but I was distracting myself due to someone I knew was also there.
So, the forms were not quite clear to me, after all.
And so I took my time, but Peggy, the volunteer who had given them to me, seemed to be in a hurry and hovered over me... in the end, she was correct for they were ready for me in the radiation department where they do the study for the swallow test.
It was a two-parter with two different machines and several different ways of being tested for my swallow mechanism of drinks and food stuff... pudding and Graham crackers and white chalky barium which showed exactly in the moving/movie X-rays of that going through that process!
Actually, rather interesting.
Moving on...
Then we went to Home Depot and returned the acrylic beveled subway tile sheets I purchased from them online, since the way to put them on was dangerous to Hubby, using a lot of rubbing alcohol, and with him having lung cancer ...
I decided we will go old school with the ceramic tiles that we have in both bathrooms in the white subway style, too! Hubby agreed too. I thought the others were simpler and faster, not realizing they said in the instructions to wear an N95, which we have plenty of still, and Hubby refused. So out of concern for his health I went back to the actual tiles, that are heavier and have to be cut, and we do have a tile cutter somewhere... and thin set and grout too...! More work, but a small area. And he is feeling better from his Chemotherapy Monday with the Keytruda.
It wipes him out, literally! I guess it takes four days to feel better, since he seems ready to go! Fortunately, he is on a three-week plan with the Keytruda so he has recovery time.
Let me introduce you to the crew...
