The second shot for me will be given a month away due to my being immuno-compromised with MS. I was wrong about the RSV shot it is a one-time deal and we had ours last year!
Hubby declined that shot... oddly enough he was diagnosed when I was pregnant with Number One Son as having Shingles in those days, over fifty years ago they told him to just take aspirin, we were in our twenties then.... Thirty years later I had Shingles at fifty-one years old still no inoculations but an anti-viral prescription was given by my local internist and it worked! Twenty-three years later I remember the burning sensation it gave me and so now that my insurance covers it without a co-pay I went for it! For the first couple of years, the co-pay was over $200!
I am not ridiculously a cheapskate if I didn't think it was survivable I would have paid the co-pay but I knew it was.
The reason I am mentioning the abovementioned three injections that I had gotten is because last night my right hand and arm awakened me due to numbness and swelling! I couldn't see my veins in my right hand and it was very much swollen as well as my arm! On that shoulder, I had gotten my yearly flu and covid shots the tech had given me the Shingle one in my left shoulder since I am right-handed and she said that the Shingle one causes pain in the shoulder and I would need Tylenol and ice packs to help with that problem! Well, either she was wrong about which arm she gave me the Shingle one in or she was mistaken about what caused problems... but I never before had issues from those two shots which I have been getting yearly for quite some time!
After extra strength Tylenol and ice packs my arm is back to normal. You see on the right side I have a slightly torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder that has been getting worse lately. So when something like that happens it is quite noticeable.
This morning I am having another evaluation for PT so it was important that only what was on the reasoning script for the PT is why I will be accepted for that program again! It was due to my last fall and my stiff left leg that is not broken!
Allow me to introduce you to the crew...
