Why Hump Day? Why Do We Call Wednesday "Hump Day"? Origins & Meaning (languagehumanities.org)
For the first time ever we had to hire people to care for our overgrown gardens! We had bees too in the front garden! Africanized that had to be gotten rid of, since I am highly allergic to bee stings, we're talking anaphylactic shock! That had to be dealt with before our front garden could be managed accordingly! They had housed themselves in our water softener box, which had not been used in years! Since we do not, in most homes, in Florida have a basement... it was attached to the outside of our home and stuccoed to resemble the rest of our house.
Sadly, Africanized honey bees when they are defensive, so they do not save the hive. We had to pay to remove the hive, but he gave us some honey from his bee hives. Believe me when I say I called as many places as I could and even was given a ten-lined emailed-to-me list from the County Extension! One wanted nearly $400 bucks to kill them this one seemed more humane and gave us a discount since Hubby is both, a retired fire chief and a retired deputy! It's guaranteed for 90 days it was still $300!
Allow me to introduce you to the crew...
