Well, alright, "simple" could be considered an understatement.
All about the brain MRI, for two reasons, one my continuing dizziness, and two I haven't had one in two years with my Multiple sclerosis.
Due to the baclofen pump, two imaging centers refused to do it!
Actually, they were correct according to the manufacturer.
Both of the MRI Imaging Centers had 3.0 Tesla and my pump says not more than a 1.5 Tesla should be used with my particular pump model.
So I contacted my local hospital, Fawcett Memorial that did all four of my surgeries this last year, from February 24, 2020, through to January 5, 2021. Included in that grouping are my two pump revisions on July 22, 2020, and in early November too.
Any-who, I survived all, thanks to them... and they just so happen to have the oldie but goodie 1.5 Tesla MRI machine for taking care of finding me and my doctor some answers.
At the very least, ruling out any additional problems.
And now I am scheduled without concern for another cancellation to have my MRI towards the end of next week, FINALLY!
I was upfront about the pump, and they knew right away about its necessities, even about the necessity of seeing my doctor within twenty-four hours after. I have a standard invite from Tessa, Dr. Montoya's nurse specialist for the pump, to come in whenever I am all done!
So as the expression goes, "I am good to go"!
Moving on...
Is it just me, or do you all know something I don't know?
People all over the country, not just my state alone, are acting as if the PANDEMIC is all over, huh?
Did I miss something?
Even with our vaccines, we have been told to mask up, social distance, and wash, yes wash those hands!!!
Cases are up, deaths are up, and that's even with all the vaccines being doled out as fast they can!
PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE, STOP THE MADNESS AND GET A REALITY CHECK!!!
We are NOT ALL DONE, yet... who knows when that will be either???
NO ONE!
So please start erring on the side of caution, and be safe, wear those masks, social distance and wash those hands even if you are vaccinated, and even if your idiot governor tells you you do not have to.
Use common sense, watch the news and find out that... IT IS NOT OVER YET!!!
Hubby and I got the J&J on March 11, 2021, so we are supposedly in the safety zone of all the problems... but with my dizziness...
And so, we must go for now...
I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site, that day, what she thought I should be named. And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,...some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but...as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-of-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.
I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?
Now my name of Chance is because I was given another chance, it could be only the second one or perhaps more... The animal control lady came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!
Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
