Resolve or solution in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

Well after waiting 48 hours by yesterday I called back doctor Rodriguez-Martin's office and the receptionist said they had NO message from me. I told them that I had called and left a message on their machine during their lunch hours. So I explained again, this time to a person that the famotidine 40 mg. was not working and that I wanted to know of perhaps another medication that might help since the doctor had said that eventually, the Nexium could harm my liver and kidneys after being on it for so many years. I believe nearly a decade.

After that initial call-back, I decided to call back again to find out when I would be hearing back from the doctor or nurse? ( I had forgotten to ask.)
I was told the doctor was not in today, meaning yesterday... and then I was asked if I would care to talk to their nurse Jackie who happens to be a Nurse Practitioner and I had spoken with her before on another issue and so I said yes.

The promise from Fabricola or fabulous as I suggested to call her, the nurse's aid, said she would call back in anywhere from five minutes to half an hour and she did in about ten minutes!
I explained that I had started me back on the Fomtidine 40 mg. last Friday after I had seen the doctor Thursday, but my stomach was worse, not better. We, the nurse and I, discussed calming stomach medication and I said that I was diagnosed by two different gastroenterologists saying I had GERD, and both had put me on Nexium twice a day!

When asked years ago if there were any other possible medications for GERD they had said no.
And so last night and this morning I am back on generic Nexium as I have been for many years. I am doing better, again that is my stomach is.

Well, that was a waste of a couple of days, and painful too! But some days it works the generic Nexium that is and some days it doesn't, and so I am being more careful with my diet too. I have given up jalapenos months ago and onions, tomatoes, and most acidic beverages like fruit juices that I love... coffee not yet or maybe ever since that would be hard to do! Although, years ago I did and became sloth-like after two years. So my two cups will have to be fine! The antioxidants are too precious not to keep it in my diet!

Tomatoes too, have to be considered not that much to be consumed either... tomato sauce shucks!
Less is more in food too.
I will adjust.
And who knows I will probably lose some more weight along the way!
My BMI says I am no longer obese but overweight and that is GREAT!
Crazy when I used to be considered very thin.
Life goes on...
