A love letter to our northeastern neighbors in this pseudo normalcy world by the pseudo normalcy gal!

As a Florida resident for these last nearly thirty-four years on both coasts we have seen and sadly participated, not by choice, in horrendous weather systems called tropical... from storms to high test hurricanes, nature can be wicked as well as beautiful...

Once again you have been hit hard by nature's wrath and as per your experience and ours, all at this point we, meaning I. can offer from my personal perspective is hope and send positive vibes that all power to you to deal and until that destruction is cleared away and up as soon as possible!

But never discount the neighbors nearby or that come into your area to help.
So I give you a remembrance of your survivorship! You have done it before and WILL do it again!!!

After all here in Florida disasters are sadly all too common.

And all I know as you do too that eventually, things change with tangible help including financial from many sources but mostly from your wise purchase of insurances.
From oneself doing the work and others FEMA, Red Cross, and yes even those wonderful neighbors... and I speak most all from the experience of the high Category wars, meaning hurricanes.

Damning those photos of those storm surge destruction!

Heartbreaking at this time, but time will help with action!

I will leave you with words written a while ago:

"Formula for a Return to Normalcy

We are in flux, but soon we'll be able to return to what we remember as home.
Hurricanes have caused all to be in an uncontrollable situation.
We must take back that control!

We can network our knowledge and resources.

We can show compassion for one another in this horrible commonality of misfortune.
The old adage is true misery does love company.

Understanding, first hand, what others have been through gives us something we can relate to.

The TV show psychologist stated that to cope with such traumas we must turn emotion into motion. Simply said: do something! Energy should be well spent in a positive productive way. This way we disallow negative thinking to take over.

And yes, we all have plenty to do to accomplish our tangible tasking.

From simple, annoying, repetitive calling of insurance agents and contractors from physically getting in there and doing the work to repair or replace.

Life has never been simple, but with a recipe to regain whatever we consider our normalcy, this unreality too will become familiar, bringing us again to what our lives once were. "
