Pseudo normalcy? Is that a thing?

Moving on...

Below you might be wondering why two oldsters might have a dorm fridge?

It isn't it's our new dehumidifier/ air purifier! Yes, the machine is about the same size as a dorm fridge, but sleek and angular, rather pleasant to the eye, not an eyesore! And hums oh so slightly. It has a touch screen that Hubby adjusted for our needs.
I was already able to put the household thermostat up a couple of degrees to less cooling. With the dehumidifier, it had felt chilly, and I am always the too warm one!

Moving on some more...

Starting in the wee hours it was quite stormy this morning! And we received very badly needed rain in this our very dry/fire season, and nearly two inches fell!

And it was the first real storm since adopting Chance, and he was scared, like how Aussie used to get, but his fear manifested itself in climbing all over us going back and forth multiple times as if pacing while we tried sleeping in our bed! 

The picture below shows Chance finally resting on my lap when we went into the living room around four A.M. with tons of reassurance all was well... especially after being told by the morning weatherman that all that wrath outside our windows was just noise, no tornado watches or warnings! By then we were both able to relax, after four-thirty when our local news had come on the air.
