Call me a cheap date, but I do enjoy going out anywhere!
That is not to say that I do not LOVE staying at home as well, because I truly do!
Hubby had this morning a follow-up eye doctor appointment and so we made it a day of eating lunch out at IHOP due to their 10% senior discount, we always forget to ask.
Many restaurants and other stores have special discounts for us oldies but goodies!
And now they too show calories of all their foods.
Hubby chose turkey with all the trimmings at over 1000 calories, and steak tips with spinach and broccoli for me, at 555 calories, but I ate just half and took the other half home!
Prior to all that on our way to the doctor's appointment we also stopped for Hubby at Publix's bakery where Hubby prefers their bakery thin-sliced white bread above everyone else, so he bought two loaves and once home froze them.
After lunch, we drove to Sam's Club where we also picked up 4 large Maxwellhouse Coffees and 2 spray cans of PAM. We already were well stocked up on extra virgin olive oil and paper products and although their gas was the cheapest we saw on our way up there about five miles from our house, our tank was still full from Hubby's last fillup!
We made it home in time to check our new equipment from Comcast/ Xfinity and saw it was oddly enough still functioning. Not like it had been previously shutting down on Netflix and the entire sites! All was well, and after being reassured that it was definitely all okay I called and canceled the in-house scheduled appointment.
Our fur babies were alone for over four hours so we were a bit concerned but all was well and as usual, they were both extremely happy to see us and also that we could take them out right away.
Before we had left they both were out to do their business and fed their continental style first of two meals a day at breakfast. Bella hadn't eaten hers even by the time we arrived home although then decided to eat and when I gave her the other half of her day's rations she ate both! And of course, she soon had to go out again and Daddy/myHubby took her out again.
Number One Son called right after and spoke with is Dad/myHubby and then we all chatted for about forty-five minutes! A lovely way to end the day almost... several hours to go yet... who knows what the rest of the day will bring and for all that I am grateful! Sweet exhaustion should be next as always...
Happy good-night to all!
Count those blessings and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
I did this so I will be.
