Wouldn't it be wonderful if rescue animals/children could talk and tell you where they came from and all about their journey on how they became adoption material?
Basics are told to you when you do decide to adopt, as we have for several of our last few family members of the hairy/fur variety!
For Aussie, his story is that his litter was removed from an animal hoarder house in the Carolinas.
And Bella's was that she was running loose in the wilds of Naples Florida, and was picked up by Collier County Animal Control.
Aussie's story is pretty clear cut, but Bella, who was originally named Belle by the organization that we adopted her from, her story is a bit more blurry.
Oddly enough I do believe I had an awesome weird break-thru though, perhaps a minuscule clue.
While cuddling my dear sweet little furry daughter on my lap, now Bella I said to her put your kepi down, and she did!
CRAZY!!!!!
Bella understands Yiddish, so is it too far a leap that an old Jewish woman may have been her people Mom in her other life? Oh, wait I am too now am an old Jewish woman!
I think YES!!!!!
I do believe it to be true!
Perhaps she, her old Jewish Mom had passed away, and somehow Bella ran away when this happened, and they picked her up and so luckily she ended up here with a mom who grew up with Yiddish spoken around her so often that through osmosis or who knows why retained a few special words to scatter generously around in proper company who would appreciate the use of colorful ancient verbiage or noun-age, ha! As a granddaughter of immigrants.
The mystery has this one ingredient that if Bella could talk I bet she would be so happy and relieved to tell us from where she came. Meanwhile, it never fails if I say lay/put your kepi down, she does so very lovingly sweetly staring with her doe eyes!
Something to consider anyway!
Happy good night all!
Count those blessings and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
Bella, my Shayna Maidel (pretty girl Yiddish)
Aussie our handsome boy. (English)
We will be.
