A drug company

Today I received two surveys via the snail mail.
One is from the company that has to do with the nurse who came to our home to give me the 1000mg. IV Solu Medrol infusion in August for three days.
That was annoying since I tossed the first one away. I was not happy with the way the nurse put the first infusion in and bruised the heck out of my arm. It was done so differently than any of the previously done ones, four other times I might add, so I tossed the first survey out not wanting to get the elderly vision impaired woman, yep with an eye disorder that causes blindness eventually, no I did not want to throw the  woman under the bus.(After Hubby mentioned the problem she did it the usual way of the others.) At first I felt ashamed that someone so senior to me, about ten years, was still vibrant and working, unlike myself, a bum, I thought, but sadly she was sub-par at this point in her job and so perhaps she should have retired before that happened?
The dilemma was should I rat her out or let it go and so I went the coward/nicer route and threw the damn thing away, never thinking they would send another. This is a no brainer for this one too will be a goner.

The drug company Pfizer sent me one also with way too much personal info, asking about my problems with Gabapentin and Ampyra; in actuality only Ampyra was discontinued due to it being a problem, I am still taking Gabapentin and it does work as it should.

I am still waiting for that company whose person that answered admitted he was in New Delhi India, when I conversationalist wise asked,"is it as hot in India as it is here in Florida?" That's when he said, "yes it is very hot here in New Delhi India," gotcha!
Who cares really he's working, and now he has my phone number to add to all the other personal stuff, since he said someone would call me back!
Hope this wasn't a con, I hate cons...
So far no one has, called back that is.
All I wanted to know was who ask for this and how did they get all the information, and yes it was more than I reveal here nightly! Then I would toss after I make sure they delete what they have...if only.

On that note of sometimes things do come back to bite you, but in this case I thought HIPAA: http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/ was there to protect me, any-who, allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

So far I have not tried all the bells and whistles

Of what????
Some might ask...
Sure you would, wouldn't you?
Oh, or not?
Come on let me tell you anyway...WINDOWS 10, but of course.
Sure its no i6 or even close to that with its gadgetry, but it does have its own personality that I was too busy using it as I did its predecessor, 8.1 for the day to try it all out, but they are in there/here.

I have been wondering why the skip in numeric naming?
Anyone know?

Any-who, the times they are a changing... I bet I installed this newer version just before another will probably be on the cusp/forefront of evolution, hmm?
It's always that way, isn't it?
Who cares truly, we, that is Hubby and I, seem to stay too long with the older models as long as they still work, ya know, why not?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu6vmNz-PhE

Free upgrade:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade

So if any of you are slower, like myself, with heading towards new fangled items available now/today/ actually yesterday and before that you have no excuse! The link above will get you fully loaded, that is with WINDOWS 10!

See I look out for you too.
We all need to be more aware of these little treats in life, especially when they truly are free.
Enjoy the freedom to try something new.

On that note of whatever could float your new boat, well not really float your new or old boat, since it doesn't promise doing that, but allow me to anyway be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

All day long...

Talk about tedium.
The easiest thing for most anyone to do is download a program, true?
And that is also true for me this technologically challenged gal.
Receiving a long awaited email telling me that I could have an updated program for free, Windows 10, was a no brainer and this time legit.
Not to say others weren't, but I suppose a few weren't, law of averages and all, ya know?
The only thing is I had no idea that it would be doing it all day long, and still is now!
First all the updates and for the last hour or more the installation process.
Number One Son called so I asked his much more techno savvy self why it was taking so long?
He logically said because I am still using the computer for other things, not verbatim but close.
With me not wanting or caring to stop using my compu- machine friend for the day. I said I understood and that I realized that I wasn't doing much else so what was my problem I actually thought. I did not say that to him, I think.
Doesn't matter, none of this does.
In the bigger picture of the world it is just a minuscule blip in the space time continuum, really?
All of this is.

My fever is not gone, and I really don't see it leaving in the near future it is quite dependable for several months now; unlike few things in life.
The thing is now that I get the why I have got to try harder to pace myself, that is all.

Just checked the download again, and its on that thingy still preparing for installation, and that has been way over an hour now.
Gosh even with me not having to do much ya gotta wonder why so very, very, very long?

Where's Hubby one might ask, not really, but perhaps?
He's on a mission in our backyard to tame our island fish pond garden and he has.
He has been consistent in pulling too many of certain vegetation out, Severina, Mother-in-law's tongue, wandering Jew plants that seem to be multiply without any encouragement what-so-ever, as well as trees that have grown into each other by intertwining, not good then, but now good!
We can even see the canal through the mini forest of trees et al; out of the sun-room windows!
So he was busy, only taking a This Old House/Ask This Old House break on PBS for an hour that we have both enjoyed for years.

To be fair I did make dinner and have completed one white load of laundry all done and put away.

I suppose this is quite a lot of chit chat after last night's not much.
So on this note of having to think better how to accomplish life's as usual, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Neighborhood cleanup?

Gone seem to be the days of people truly caring about their neighborhoods.

Too many people who move into homes act as if it is all a temporary situation without true concern for the concept of what being a neighbor means.

On the one side of our home that house has seen at least seven or eight different groups of people in it in the whole seventeen years that we have been living in our home.
I said it that way since not all were families, many were roommates or non-married groups with not necessarily family biological legal connections, which is fine. One group of guys were roofers; serendipity-wise for us they were there when our roof was taken off by the hurricane, they came over and helped tarp us during the storm's wrath. Once even a lovely retired couple rented it one winter, but they used to rent our home for years before we purchased it in 1998, ours had been a rental, we were told for eight years.

The people who owned it that we purchased it from lived in Minnesota.
It had been overgrown and was basically a fixer upper on a saltwater canal, five minutes from the harbor by boat and we both saw its potential.
Any-who, we had begun the renovations before 2004 when Hurricane Charley hit and had to start all over after, and since have been maintaining it the way we ended up having it and nearly done. Eventually, we will need to make more modifications due to my physical needs but for now we are managing well and I love our little castle of just over one thousand square feet! It is cheerful and inviting inside and out.
So it disheartens me so very much when we leave to go anywhere and see how our neighborhood has changed.
Trash not picked up on front lawns and lawns and bushes so tall houses are disappearing behind them. Vehicles, tractor trailers parked on our narrow streets or too many in driveways or on lawns as if they are in the country where many are hidden by just being out there, spread out far from other neighbors, not as in suburbia where we are all on quarter acre lots sized apart and so it makes it look sloppy.

Hubby was on the phone again this morning with building code enforcement and the sheriff's office and even has a call into our areas county commissioner. He worked with code years ago when he worked as a community policing officer and so it is doubly hard for him to accept the attitudes that so many seem to have of it not being enforced without jumping through more bureaucratic hoops, the laws are there, they just have to enforce them.
A deputy came out today after the head of code said he has told the tractor trailer driver over and over again, but there's a loophole of a ten day issue. This same tractor trailer fellow lives in a broken down trailer behind his brother-in-laws house that is a rented one; just on the other-side of the empty lot from us, and there are also about three extra cars parked there that don't move, and as far as we know there are only three people living there, we think. The deputy had him move the tractor trailer into the driveway, not good or according to the law!
Our better neighbor, who also has been renting for quite a few years, next door, has a two story everglades type buggy that he keeps in his backyard with his gate wide open, which is legal,Hubby says, but it is seen, and now he has put a wooden trailer stacked with junk on his front lawn for the last week! (Update: Hubby just spoke with him, it's from another home of his wife's that had to be gutted from bad renters not reporting a leaky roof and just moving out, he's moving it in the backyard tonight, see even renters have bad renters.)

The disappearing house is across the street and the other  lawn garbage is next door to it.

I have checked on occasion our homes value on Zillo, and was pleasantly surprised to see it had risen thirty thousand dollars since we had refinanced with HARP two and half years ago, but recently, within the last month it has gone down five thousand.

So even if we wanted to move, we probably could not sell with these non-caring neighbors!
This is called being between a rock and a hard place, but I love my little jewel no-longer a stone in the rough, but in a very tough neighborhood that is not that far from becoming crime ridden with all this mess!

Ironically, we had chosen this to be our last home due to its proximity to so many good things, if we could only jump over the messes on our way in and out...

 Why can't people care?
It makes me so very sad.
I do understand it is a matter of priorities and everyone's different.

On that note with just trying to change the world from our small part of it, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Abnormal normal; 357 down to 87?

Who am I?
Two different people?

So yesterday I went back to have my creatine kinase rechecked/tested blood work, it is truly wonderfully down to 87, with the norms still at 30-223 and I am very normal from that ridiculous number of 357 when fasting that was taken on the fifth of the month, yesterday's was non-fasting! (*lesson learned)

My ERG test showed the neurological ophthalmologist that my left retina was abnormal a few weeks ago, but when examined by the retina specialist and dilated and tested and photographed again today it was normal! (*still baffling)

If you think you are confused can you imagine how I feel, besides relieved of course and very thankful!

So two concerns alleviated, resolved, all in the good column and yay to both of them for that!

Whew!

So very happy now, probably should celebrate, we'll have to think about that one on the when and how.

That's it for tonight and on that higher note, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Medications are bears

Ordering that is!
Today was the day my ear medication was supposed to be ready for pick up, but instead I was told they did not get the request that had been called in last night, huh?
Not the case when all was said and done, but now my so-called great insurance company refused to pay for it.
And so instead they approved the ointment instead, and I might add of the same chemical composition stuff in the spray!
I am now also on an antibiotic again for that same ear issue, since it is oozing clear stuff and I have a periodic pain like an earache in that ear.
Talk about annoyances/aggravation...
Any-who, when all was finally said and done, the two prescriptions are home and cost a whopping whole five bucks and change!
What was all the fuss about, really?
The deal is the oral stuff is to be taken twice a day for a week, three hours before or after my calcium+D; it seems the medication and the vitamins if taken together makes the medication not work right;
it will be more complicated than most would think, but I think I can try to figure it out somehow.
The vitamins that are doctor recommended too due to us MS people having low D in our systems for our muscles extra is definitely needed and that is taken three times a day.
Not so easy, hmm?
Three hours apart, why that's nine hours right there, isn't it?
I'm not up too many hours; so this will be a little tricky.

So after all was said and done Hubby butt dialed Number One Son with his cell and hung up but Number One Son called back and I accidentally dialed our insurance agent, or did I?
Subliminally and not so subliminally I feel she needs a call.
This all was supposed to be easier not harder getting medicine that is.

On that note of a bit of ire, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS we both had a nice chat with our Number One Son.
As far as my agent goes I thought I hung up before she answered and I was busy calling someone else at the time, although I think she called back later and left a message that I have not heard as of yet, oh well...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
