Ageism has nothing to do with it!

Bad or impaired drivers should not be allowed to continue to drive ...without retesting or training.
Ever notice the too slow in the left lane person or the weaver that goes in and out trying to get there, wherever, faster than anyone else and ends up at the red light having to stop anyway at the same time you do? Or the wrong side of the road driver down a one way street or even not a one way, just the wrong side of the highway?
Or the person who backs up in a parking lot and doesn't look around for anyone else and horns go off and wheels screech or people have to jump out of the way?  
Some folks just need to either pay attention or learn driving etiquette, sincerely!
And others just need to have their licenses revoked.
Danger arrives when people who have neck problems or leg strength or eyesight impairment or so many other physical issues but don't know when to say I must find another way or I might harm someone, including myself!
Yep, anyone at any age or gender can be in that position and that is who I am talking about.
People care enough to either find a way to be able to drive safer or give up that license and take public transportation or ask a neighbor on their way out if they are going anywhere where you have to go, or offer to pay for a neighbor's gas if relatives are not there for you, but be safe and that means for yourself and the public at large!

Oh me?
I gave up driving when I was considered legally blind a few years ago, although it was only one eye, but due to my legs weakness and my cervical stenosis not allowing me to look all around easily I felt it better to not take any chances. Oh and even with a rear camera, like we have now in this this new vehicle, but even it says to look all around too. So Hubby looks around and I look at the camera!

All those years Hubby was a deputy and before that a fireman for as many he mentioned all those crashes he went to that many were due to many peoples poor judgment and so many who did survive should not have been driving to begin with and many of them were the cause of fatalities.
As a fire chief they used the jaws of life too at too many crashes.

Being completely alert and able to act fast are two of the many needs to be a safe driver.

All lives matter!

Upsetting to me that we have to teach this to another generation that ALL LIVES MATTER!
Just like so many other things, being polite and caring for others should be givens not things that have to be retrained to a generation of wild insensitive people; I seriously hate, yep hate to think that!
But apparently with all the news lately it is not an automatic knee jerk reaction to what is right and socially acceptable part of peoples lives.
It is the simplest non-sectarian golden rule,"TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!"
Okay, I suppose atheist might not believe in that, but even they believe in justice. Oh wait believe in does have some religious connotations. And even I try hard not to be a zealot of any one belief as I write nightly, although many a time I do deviate due to my birth religion that I am still partial to, but not actually practicing.

Then, here I got it people just treat people like people, okay?  

So much hate I do believe is because people are misinformed or due to a rumor crowd mentality or just due to forgetting tomorrow is another day to rethink what's bugging you and taking a time out, maybe?  
If everyone would just chill and think before acting perhaps all these thoughtless actions of violence against others would not have happened?

Quite an interesting true concept of this more complex word than I recalled in my brain files. 

Okay, now what could have I thought was a fantastic thing to entitle this tonight?
I know that you do not have an idea at all of what I might be speaking about, although this is not fantastic in a good way but odd bizarre and also sad way, to us it is hard to believe poor Gus's bad luck, hasn't he been through enough being a rescue and all, really?
Our dear Havanese Gus has had two split by many weeks of separation seizures, the second one was today!
Scary, but no after effects, thankfully.
The first time we called his doctor and were warned about things that would be considered an emergency; like the length of time that it lasted and if he became feverish etc. and we all agreed that it could have been an one time occurrence, but now it seems he may need a work up like us humans have when something is awry. Interestingly enough a medication that is used for dogs is an anti-seizure one called Neurontin, which is the non-generic name of my own Gabapentin, also used for spasms in MS.
When it happens to him he cannot get up and he shakes, but does not paw at anything or foam at the mouth, he just lies down and can't get up and shakes and allows us to pet him and voice comfort him, where we can also make sure his body temperature is not rising which would signal an emergency, once it stops he appears fine, he even drank water and ate his dinner.
These could be petit mal seizures, but the cause is the mystery and that is why the workup, probably not till Tuesday since this is a holiday weekend. We do have an emergency hospital if we have to go. We took Skipper there a couple times for his stomach problems on the weekends and sadly when he died on that Sunday of November 2, 2014.
Makes me sad and upset to think Gus would have to go there; I hope we can wait till the weekend is over.  
Too upsetting, but it's the only one in county and they do know their stuff.

 Guess what; another storm has been named in the north Atlantic, Grace!
The good thing is that she is four thousand miles away!
Though she does bear watching...uh oh! (Happy meteorologists again!)

Bloodsucker!

Ten vials worth was taken from me for testing that will take six weeks to get the results!
The vampira, Nancy, had to get special verification and use different size tubes to take my ruby liquid life's force for an examination and a trial to see what's what and causing me NOT to be ME!
Yep a trial of vials! The delay of outcome has not been told; it makes me feel as if I am living ye days of olde.

My fear is with my wee brain Googling all these symptoms verified by all thee doctors and me trying to take the mystery pieces of the body crime to find is causing me to lose all my normal lifetime! 

Shall I be an idiot instead and pretend to not know that all these symptoms do spell out many serious problems that have to be addressed!

Many already are or have been, but not all things tried worked.

Oh I forgot to tell that my neuro doc took me off of the Ampyra yesterday due to what we both suspected that it could be causing my latest problems, the leg paresthesia with burning twisting sensations, now in arms and lower extremities( knees to feet) that used to be fleeting but now is constant and has not gone away. 
So far there have been only two pills not taken of the Ampyra, since I was told to stop after my morning one was taken at nine A.M.yesterday, so last night's and this morning's were not taken.

I suppose after calling the company, Acorda, last week, and having spoken with their pharmacist and of course they support their product, but did verify that it was one of its many side effects.

Today, I Googled others who did not walk better with Ampyra but also ironically got worse, and even after stopping it had not improved sadly, meaning the side effects did NOT go away. 
Oddly enough it had been developed to help people with Multiple Sclerosis walk better, and for only that purpose.
In fact what many were saying is that it worked only 30% of the time; it is also sold in Canada under the name Fampyra as well as the UK under that name and has been here in the US and approved by the FDA since 2010.

So I am not sure what will become of me? 
This newest evolution of my being is most upsetting and not at all what I was hoping for...oh well...I wish I knew.
GET THIS WORLD SO FAR I HAVE NOT FOUND THAT MAGIC PILL! The one to make all of us who suffer with this malady of MS to feel better. What a fool am I for trying. I do believe I have learned my lesson...nothing will work.

Today we took a trip to Venice, Florida that is; about forty minutes north from here.
I had that appointment for the neuro-othalmologist it was three hours of testing and I was sent home with scripts for more tests, one with certain blood tests five different ones, including B-12, paraneoplastic panel and heavy metal, ANCA and one other. 

My tests there proved that my optic nerve is slightly damaged, but others were inconclusive thus the remaining tests and an ERG one too: "Electroretinography (ERG) is an eye test used to detect abnormal function of the retina (the light-detecting portion of the eye). Specifically, in this test, the light-sensitive cells of the eye, the rods and cones, and their connecting ganglion cells in the retina are examined. During the test, an electrode is placed on the cornea (at the front of the eye) to measure the electrical responses to light of the cells that sense light in the retina at the back of the eye."

And thankfully as I write tonight no more are out there at this time, wow, great!

Lots of people worry about this time of the year for nasty storms, since historically they have been here, but not right now.

This is an image that made many wonder where it came from and why it was in our Florida eastern sky, everything from aliens to meteors crashing onto our beloved state was guessed to be the cause, but alas it was just the remnants of a rocket going up at Cape Canaveral on the space coast. Apparently, due to odd humidity and other conditions left from Erika, that tropical/hurricane storm and so the timing was just right to leave this image, a considerably unique one that many photographed.

Moving on once more...

My personal life has been pretty much stagnant as far as my own health goes that is with my legs and right shoulder problems of numbness and pain; causing sleep at night to be very restless and not pleasant or beneficial. I did have a new symptom of cold feet today and solved it with wearing socks and after my morning shower it appeared to be fine with socks put on again. My fever has been constant again in the afternoon and no one has that answer; today it was 99.9 F, crazy since I have been on antibiotics twice, and even thrice if you count in my IV during surgery. I am taking the Tylenol and the extra Gabapentin but nothing seems to help...I wonder what will be next, truly?
My body is saying I am done once again so...

Visit!

Number One Son stopped by for a six and half hour visit, shucks I will take whatever we can get! It is rejuvenating!
Always a nice cheerful semi-surprise; meaning not planned well in advance.
Sadly, I was not able to do much so he and Hubby took care of lunch and an early/our usual dinner, dishes and all.
Although, Wally's Barbecue was picked up as the choice for dinner; the one just around the corner with the chef being Cordon Bleu trained with very good quality.
Lunch was sandwiches and salads.

Hubby went rogue last night and picked up vanilla ice cream at Publix with chicken and salads and A&W root beer for floats. I had a small scoop of vanilla with sprinkles, wasn't in a float mood.
I did eat lunch, including melon, but dinner I pushed off to Hubby to finish. I do love the ribs and sweet potato but even half was too much.
Probably a good thing for me. 
I don't get out much with the way I have been feeling, only doctor's appointments.
 
Last night I did hear back from my neuro's office and I will be having another sooner than November, an appointment this month.
This week is the neuro-opthalmologist four hours of testing, paperwork was mailed to me and filled out, next week is my ophthalmologist-surgeon who is sending me to the specialist appointment.
The report should be in by then.

See  all doctors.
And sadly it looks as if I will be also going back to my orthopedists due to my shoulder. I hate all this, but I truly think that when they transferred me in the OR to the gurney they tore something in my already bursitis slightly torn muscle shoulder. I told them about my cervical stenosis, but forgot to tell them about my shoulder...and so I have been taking the additional Gabapentin and extra strength Tylenol and icing it night and day, still very painful.
In fact, my ow-ing now says that I am done for tonight!
