After you beat yourself up for lack of accomplishing what you did want to do yesterday...

...So you go back to the project and are thrilled since it seems to be coming together after you figured out the best way to do it, and part of the construction calls for that hot glue gun you have been using for years, and a rather large drip hits the wooden hot plate and for no reason or logic that anyone could possibly know you touch the too big to be played with while in its molten stage, but for no common sense known to any man or woman you stick your left finger into the too hot to handle without asbestos gloves liquid, now nearly solidified, but wait, it decides to adhere to that finger and then melt into your delicate skin lines and forever more changes your left pointer fingerprint to not being there anymore, but scarred for life…! OUCH!

And you finally decide that today would not be the day either for doing that artsy fartsy project that is now securely back in the laundry room in its slide out designated crafts drawer…

Whimp, whimp, whimp!

I hear you saying, (nah, I like to pretend even if negative things), but I had more important things to do like laundry and at least in my recent memory I haven’t gotten hurt doing that…!

Yes, it went off without calamity, two loads worth.

Skipper also was given a bath today at a height that I could handle in our deep kitchen sink. Now before you all go YUCK it is sterilized before and after, well not sterilized, bleached and it has the hose that pulls out from its faucet.

I also do it with a washcloth on the bottom of the very deep sided one so he won’t slip, in the dual Corian sink in white we had installed after Hurricane Charley redecorated our home, yep, we were gutted.

My counter to the right fits a full size human bath towel and another for drying the little darling.

At around fifteen pounds he is the size of a few month old baby, true?

It was the first time in ages that I had bathed him; I used to do all of our four legged friends in either the tub or utility sink in the garage, where Hubby had been bathing him for years.

Today Hubby took on the lawn that seems to grow every-time we look at it, due to most likely all the rain we have been having except for today!

And as promised we awoke to the low sixties with a high of eighty-one, and this is in Fahrenheit; for my metric folks, I’m just saying, you will have to convert to Celsius, sorry I no can do, unless I look up the conversion table like you will I am more than sure.

Skipper does enjoy the pool too and when I don’t go in he doesn’t either, although even though the air outside was in the sixties, this morning, the pool was still hovering in the low eighties!

Tomorrow is the day I find out what is going on with my health insurance claim and if I am just wrong or if they made the mistake.

I also have to reenroll with the Assistance Fund who pays my $150 monthly co-pay for my Copaxone. They are open too from 9-6 EST Monday through Friday, or call @855-845-3663, or online to expedite enrollment at www.assistfund.org/renew or even download their Mobile App by searching “AssistFund” too.

Lots to do tomorrow and if possible I would like to try to go to independent exercises if the insurance company can take care of this in a timely fashion, who am I kidding.. Oh well, I can hope, true?

I have a feeling that since the weather people have said we are in for another rather cool night that our own swimming pool will be a negative, more sixties for tonight, will this chill ever leave… brrrrrrr? Kidding!

Resolution to finish my began project, I even Googled other non- dangerous forms of adhesion to use for the medium I am working in, big secret, but it will be divulged soon, already took my first picture…but if I showed you now it would reveal too much and so I won’t, na, na, na, na!

On that childish attitude of knowing something that you don’t, and I won’t tell you, for a change, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Ever have a day...

That you plan and everything you thought you would do goes by the wayside due to...lack of emotional control?
No, I suppose most have not, at least not for anything as frustrating as what I have been going through with Florida Blue to cause so much distress that concentrating on a fun project becomes not as fun?
What seems to have happened besides the fact that they are no longer taking claims or billing issues on the weekends and so when you get an enormous bill for $1066.37 from the MRI people from May that was at one time they were asking for $778, but I was told that it was wrong, and that they had billed the other plan, not my plan and screwed it all up and they would fix it???? PS the other plan had less coverage and was cheaper; this one’s premium is higher due to more so-called coverage. Since it should not be that much... But when will they fix it; this is by no means fixed?
And now you get a bill not for a lesser amount, but for a much larger amount, it is quite unsettling! And they are asking for the monies on receipt of the bill, but of course they all do...but this is still not RIGHT!
Since I then did my own investigating on their own claims site and found out that the $778 was double billed and is even in their, Florida Blue's, records as a mistake as well as the patient responsibility as being 0.00 for it. And so now I wrote them an email with that question, if the additional $778 is duplicated than why is the balance more not less, I figured the difference should be only $288.37 as my responsibility?
Am I wrong?
Should I continue questioning?
Or should I just pay the exorbitant amount and protect myself from a nervous breakdown?
Either way I feel doomed if I give up and get no justice for myself and never learn which is correct or if for some asinine reason they think they are correct?
Lose; lose if I give up the bone, in my opinion.
So I will wait to hear/see from their email and I of course will follow-up with a call Monday too!

There goes most of Monday, was going to be independent exercise. I had missed Friday due to my Copaxone delivery that is refrigerated and has to be signed for and they came too late to go…No pool either, since we cannot hear the door from out back and Hubby is my life guard.

Today since it rained most of the day I was about to work on my mirrors I have finally decided what to do with the last two smallest ones. I won’t tell I will show you during the process, okay?

But even though I had all supplies ready to go and even Hubby had a big hand in helping with that… the mail came and my desire to do any of it was gone… bad me!
So we put it all away for next time.
At least now I have an inkling of what I will be doing with both of them, actually more than that!
We had dinner and decided to watch a movie after, but then I realized it was time to do this, my fourth love in my life after Hubby, our sons, boys are equal, and of course Skipper and so I suppose we will watch it later…

On that somewhat less stressful note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS I sure hope I can go into the pool tomorrow its not supposed to rain, although, a cold front will be coming through and the latest news is it will be going down to 83 degrees Fahrenheit brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Yep, sixties during the night too, double brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

"The love of your life is right in front of your eyes."

So it's like this I showed Hubby my entitled first of two fortunes and we both stopped what we were doing and stared into each others eyes, for a few seconds...
You see I was looking up and he was looking down and so we got a crick in each of our respective necks and that was that.
But we did hold the gaze for more than a split second, really.
Any-who, my second fortune said, “You will be successful in your career.”
Now that would be great if I truly knew what I wanted to be when I grew up… instead of out, got it?
Sure I have time to think, but how my mind will be working is up for wonderment as we all know…
But dreaming no matter how skewed never ends until you die, if before you might as well be dead…just saying.
For without dreams at any age what is there?
Just a thought.

One of Hubby’s was quite prophetic for all of us, “Wise men avoid troubles while fools search for them.”
His other targeted his younger self, mine too, really, “You are a bundle of energy, and always on the go.”

Seriously, where are those people?
Oh well, life goes on, as all should.
And as many have told me I am my NEW SELF.
Whatever that means…?

I have been told not to live in the past or look back at what once was… but who hasn’t and we all know how tempting it is to remember the better of us, our-selves, as we were…

Gosh what an idea for a movie title? KIDDING!

“The Way We Were,” has already been taken over forty years ago, how time really does fly!
And it was a rather lovely movie with incredible actors in the prime of their careers, Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford, circa 1973. To learn more read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Way_We_Were

A beautiful song from the title too:

“Mmm. Mmm.
Memories, light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
smiles we gave to one another
for the way we were.
Can it be that it was all so simple then
or has time rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
tell me would we? Could we?
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
what's too painful to remember
we simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter we remember
whenever we remember
the way we were.”

On that thought of memories of the way we all were for what we were is why we are who we are today, true?
Of course it is! Insert BIG smile here.

Now I will happily close for this evening and ask all of you to have a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Be careful now, but not fearful. With all the scary Ebola news as well as the murdering monsters internationally , be alert but not paranoid. And I will try to do what I just said too…ha!

GREAT NEWS!

I am fine, except for a small recent stupid accident I will explain after....
The "bone scan was negative for my thorax. No recent fractures."
"There is small focus of mild increased uptake in the region of L2 posterior spinous process. This may reflect remote trauma or degenerative change. The distribution of activity is within normal limits. Bilateral renal activity is present."  This translates to my kidneys are functioning, I think!
There was a "small focus of mild increased uptake at the L2 level, as above, related to trauma or degenerative change."
Translation: In other words that L2 slight herniation showed up as being there along with my arthritis.

*"Increased uptake seen in a Bone scan can mean many things:
To name a few of the most popular causes:

Infection
Trauma
Degenerative Changes
Cancer

Increased uptake is also known as a Hot Spot - This helps Doctors locate problematic areas for further investigation and specific imaging that best shows anatomical structures of the HOT SPOT. Correlation is made with imaging along with blood work, symptoms and history to reach a diagnosis or good reason that warrants further investigation for more sinister causes.

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks to: http://www.answers.com/Q/What_does_increased_uptake_mean_in_a_bone_scan

L2 is lumbar 2, from in red, top to bottom L1, L2, L3, L4, L5
All I know is that it ouches there, and as far as my thorax goes it was a muscular issue, not a bone problem and so as I have said before if hurts when I do this and so now I should revisit it cautiously and slowly as per Dr. Nord. Actually, I said not to do that, but I guess I was WRONG!

Oh my ridiculous accidents...slip and fall is a nasty thing to do and I nearly did it twice within a three day period, but caught myself both times.
Although the first time not until I hit my self on going nearly down in the bathtub! Yep, how cliché of me.
Tuesday, was the first time after being in our pool going into the shower and no I did not put the rug down, shame on me!
And so when I went to get into the tub the part of it inside that does not have the roughened portion imbedded in the steel like the middle section does was too slippery for the first time that I can remember for this particular tub that was installed ten years ago, in white, after Hurricane Charley redecorated our home. And all these years no problem. My chair has been in there since 2009 when I got out of the hospital that April from having my first indoctrination with IV steroids for three days and it all was recommended to get the chair and the handheld faucet too, and so Hubby had it all done by the time I arrived home, what a guy!

Any-who, the tub came with its own so-called necessary roughness to presumably not need any accoutrements to get mildew upon.
And so I went on for years fat dumb and happy, yep by 2009 I was.

Until, fast forward this past Tuesday and if it wasn't for that glass door I would have been laid out on top of that hard tubby side!
But I caught myself and sat myself safely down and all was well, until today!
Wednesday I did shower too, everyday I do, of course, but it was uneventful.
And I got into the shower twisted in knots and so I am in pain now from that nasty dance of unexpected not rehearsed for dallying without an audience I might add...
And all this lovely damn pain on the day I have proof I am really all OKAY!
An added little remembrance of these last two incidents is the nice temporary black and blue mark on my left thigh, and for a change I know where it came from, ha!

So after the doctor's office we went over to Bed Bath and Beyond and with my mighty 20% off coupon we bought the first, in ages a tub mat.
But oh what a tub mat, the most expensive one they had since it heralds two things it will not get moldy and if need be it can be washed in the washing machine, from  the packaging, "Airia Luxury, live in your element", "What is adaptive air mesh? A soft woven material made of 95% air and millions of supportive fibers. It's not a cloud, but pretty close. Our unique construction of micro air products allow water to flow through and dry quickly. Say hello to the new dimension in comfort."

Don't worry I have saved it's wrappings, bag and receipt....@$24.99 even with 20% off for an inside the tub mat to me it seems expensive, but if it does do what it says plus if its suction cups stay put and prevent me from falling it will be worth every penny!

On that somewhat upbeat note allow me to be the very first wish you a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Cognitive!????? Multi-tasker!????

You go through life and make very few mistakes.

HUH?

Not possible, but at least most of my mistakes were not MAJOR, who am I kidding many were!

Then why now with Multiple Sclerosis am I so frustrated and upset with my constant grammatical and just plain wrong word usages as well as forgetting tiny words in the content of the body of the story that I try to give to you my readers night after night?

Well, today I found out that for all my education and desire to write and being of the thought process that to be good at anything including writing you must practice, practice, practice and what better way than to do it night after night like I have been doing these last several years, not to mention all those years of sporadic writings when the ideas moved me in that direction to be creative or angry enough to write those editorial comments or make poetry from family sillies or get excited with a plot for a murder mystery that hadn’t been done before but encompassed all my favorite concepts to solve the crime by my own form of deductive reasoning!

Sure I thought I had years to revisit that novel/novella that will win me a Pulitzer, nah, but pay my way for the rest of my life, nah, and perhaps sell the movie rights, who knew, perhaps? Who am I kidding?

Any-who, nope, my mind missteps has proven that time is running out for all those enormous dreams of mine to be fulfilled.

My MS brain is showing those signs of giving up on me.

Last night I wrote so many mistakes that I was truly saddened that I had not proofed it better before I published it to all of you… words were forgotten, small ones like “to, it, be, on, on, on , and on, etc…”. I also thought I wrote the word, ‘him’ but found out I instead wrote the word ‘home’.

My staccato brain is going berserk!

I only wish that you as my readers would understand that I am NOT THAT STUPID!

But I am not that bright either.

It is true I love to learn and look up things all of the time and sadly I no longer retain what I would like to daily when I do look it up it is lost… for good or until I look it up again.

I used to be a multi-tasker, but alas that is gone too.

There was a time that I was able to juggle five things at the same time and know exactly what each one was and do it well and right each and everyone of them.

And I am not talking twenty years ago just a few.

No, this is not age related.

This is caused by the MS as is my vertigo and my hand weakness in three months has diminished in strength from when I was tested on July 2 by my smiling neuro who said that about cognitive and multi-tasking today.

I wasn’t quite clear on the reasons it was happening but now I know.

Going into the sun-room away from Hubby has been the right thing to do; trying to not be too distracted, but even that is getting harder to do in this separate area of the house to concentrate on what I am doing.

I used to be easily distracted as a child but somehow I outgrew it and was able for years and years to focus; now it appears to be back in full force!

And contrary to everyone’s thinking it is not age related in my case, but Multiple Sclerosis caused due to cognitive deterioration, oh my!

Did I just say that?

So as you my readership will have to be kind in understanding my too quick to publish mistakes due mostly to try and get as many people to read my offerings before the cut off times for each season changes that deadline, it is now still before eight P.M. EST but when the clocks change next month it will go back to seven o’clock P.M. EST.

Silly for me to think like that, but I so enjoy trying to beat each days hits of how many actually read me.

Does that sound dirty?

Hope not.

It is what it is.

On that little bit of silly allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next times please be here or be square, ya hear!

Recommendation

I am no longer TIRED, nah that's not true...
Sadly, I am always tired, but not always TIRED, got that?

Any-who, yesterday was a fun and exhausting day, and we Hubby, Number one Son and I had a wonderful visit.

He arrived a wee bit later than he expected due to an accident on the highway coming down here, it was about a quarter to eleven in the A.M., he had wanted to arrive around nine-ten-ish, I think.
And Hubby and I had determined how the day would be going pretty much, he again suggested that I not go into the pool before going over this time to the rehab, but now for my first day of return to independent exercises.

We almost left to go there and have Number One join us over there but we saw his car arriving at our home and so we talked a bit and all went together for my independent exercises.

Although, Hubby and our son did an errand of picking up our vitamins and postage stamps at the Winn Dixie grocery story in the same shopping mall as the rehab center.

It worked out fairly well since I was halfway through my four exercise machines completion of my first day as being on my own…
But not entirely that older couples lady knew the equipment there rather well and helped me align my sheet information with the set up as well as the proper way to get onto the machines.
She and her husband have been using many of the different ones that
I hadn’t used previously and so it was very nice of her to help me and I did appreciate it and told her so.

Sometimes I do stop and realize that acting like a know-it-all is not the best way to learn anything!
And as I have said before as I grow older I realize that I know less and less; not like when I was a fifteen year old and knew everything, ha!

After we left there it was lunch time and we mentioned to our son of a restaurant that was not a chain and that we had not taken him to before.
He and his girlfriend enjoy traveling and have been on many cruises but also enjoy going to New Orleans and I mentioned that this restaurant serves Cajun style food as well as many other cuisines, but with a strong seafood menu and he said ok.

Hubby and I had only been there once before due to finding out the chef there had once been the chef for the Cultural Center and when he was there we so enjoyed the food.
So we tried it, and asked for him but he was not there that day. That day I had the jambalaya that I took pictures of, like a true foodie would and of Hubby’s chicken Marsala too.

Yesterday, I decided to try something different and so I had from their appetizer menu a shrimp cocktail and from the salad menu a wedge salad, and Number One chose their cod sandwich platter and Hubby got his new favorite there again, chicken Marsala. Two iced teas unsweet with lemon, for me and my son and Hubby had his coffee black with sugar.
Everything was delish.

Hubby asked our server if Chris the chef was in and she said that he was and Hubby commenced to tell her about us knowing him from where he used to work and missed his great cooking.

She went and got him and Chris Cooper came out, we all chatted a while and he said that his specialties there were his signature soups/ chowders and sauces and I said oh how much I love them. And he brought me out a cup of his very scrumptious fish chowder with shrimp and clams and cod etc.
I had asked before he had left if he will be making lobster bisque that we used to enjoy so much when out on the boat down in the islands, here, not far away, at one of the Florida islands coastal restaurants.
He wasn’t absolute but I think he might.

We will definitely be going back there.

They are located on the water in Punta Gorda right over the route 41 bridge south of us.

Hurricane Charley’s
300 Retta Esplanade Punta Gorda Florida 33950
941-639-9695 or 941-575-0062

Used to be Benedetto’s Steak House there, next door to the hotel.

Yes, they’re named after that notorious day in our local history on 8/13/04, a Friday and the pictures of that day are throughout the place with even pieces of other remembrances too, debris etc.…

On that note of trying to make lemonade out of a nasty lemon, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
