Flowers are in bloom all over the world...

And as we all know that we the people of this universe are not unlike the flowers on the earth in the respect of all coming in many different sizes, shapes and colors making them and us all beautiful in our own ways and at times coming from unexpected interestingly different looking parents... case in point, orchid?

NO! Elephant ears, are the parent plant!

That’s what makes the world wonderful!

There is too much going on in the world with hatred again; the cause for wars and death.

When will we ever learn and stop it all?

I’m just saying.

The above message about flowers and people was happily plagiarized from Sesame Street, although I just Googled it and it does not say that that is where it is from…so… I call dibs!

Any-who, it is an amazing way to examine the world without baggage.

Sadly, it is also a very idealistic way to look at the world, since many of us will admit that not unlike most relationships, it’s complicated!

Not funny!

Although, we must remember that no matter how tough things seem they have been better and yes they too have been worse, true?

As we all should do at times is take a flowery vacation and stop to smell them, as many as we can find, and for that moment breathe as if you mean it… as if that aroma is battling all the horrors of the world all in the name of love and is compressed into that minutia blip of time and then release that breath with a new found reasoning of how to approach the world with time and patience and the Golden Rule etched within your mind’s eye…

Quite a few of my Facebook friends have found that time to appreciate nature all around them from flowers, to sunrises and sunsets to beach scenes to you name it… people in my estimation really do know what is important in life…

Things without prices and some of the things that too many take for granted, but don’t; please don’t…

These are our grasps of sanity, our hanging onto home and family and of course most of all love for all of those things…

So let me leave you tonight with a glimpse of some of our personal favorites…

On that peaceful note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

It worked!

What is that, one might ask?
Our sign for our neighborhood friends and families...with dogs.

You see, our little guy, Skipper, our ten year old Bichon Frise has never been allowed to wander, except in his own fenced back yard!

We are strong believers in safety first with our family members, whether they be two or four-legged, although our sons were never put on leads, and when they were little is when those things for two legged children did start to become a choice for some parents with children who try to run when left out by themselves in the world or out with them as well...
And so with or without a leash law, which our county happens to have, for dogs, or four legged children whichever you care to refer to them as... our third son, who is a *bog, meaning boy-dog and rhymes with dog, not log, has never been let out of our front door due to our front yard not being fenced in, even if we go out we have baggies to pick up his sweet smelling wastage and deposit it accordingly in the proper receptacles designated for such things!(*To be honest our younger son coined that word for his lovingly called son/dog, his bog, Andrew, a beautiful/handsome, collie-Shepard mix, a puppy survivor of Hurricane Andrew, circa 1992 and passed away after only nine years in 2001, from liver cancer, sadly.)

Any-who, Hubby has been using his new lawn mower; his first in over a decade that he must walk behind to use, all though self propelled and has all those modern gizmos, anyway, as he doesn't mind cleaning up our own backyard from those dainty little do dos of our sweet baby boy, Skipper, and he has always whether using his ride on or walk behind mower those were/are family defecations, NOT strangers' made being rather largess smelly made poops, from horse sized doggie’s belonging to other families... YUCK!
Each to his/her own of course.

And so when Hubby went out to mow our lawn last week he was taken aback with an annoying problem; caused by people who do not respect other people's yards as their own, FIVE nasty plop, plop, plop, plop, plops of doggy defecations!
Now most would turn the other cheek and become passive and just clean it up and say, oh well...

And in reality, Hubby felt that is probably what we should do...
But alas I had tried something years ago, well yeah actually Hubby acquiesced to my suggestion even then, and so I felt it was again time to try it since it had worked, but Hubby had forgotten that it had and was saying that what if they go crazy and throw poop or do other horrid things to our lovely front lawn...well he didn't say lovely or use the word poop, I am paraphrasing what he did actually say and felt...

It seems that it has been years since this yucky incident had occurred, albeit Hubby hadn't noticed due to the ride-on mower use for all those years?

Well, the idea was simple and not violent, rather peaceable really.
And rustic, much on the level of its audience I suspect...who hopefully can read! (Sorry that was mean spirited, but they started it, don't you think?) Many people while walking with and without their pups did stop to read and even cars slowed down too to read our...SIGN

Now that is simplicity at its finest, true? (The sign looks crowded word wise due to originally saying 'my' instead of 'our', twice.)

Hubby had removed the sign to mow the lawn today and found out happily that no one had let their darlings utilize our lawn for their personal potty room, and so it worked! We will be leaving if off, unless... need be!
Hubby was kind enough to put it in temporarily to get its PIC for my tonight blog, which does rhyme oddly enough with log and bog, but not the four-legged kind that we call our bog, boy dog! Got that?

On that note of so much hope for our neighbors respect, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS We live in an unincorporated area in the county of Charlotte and so no there is no law, as of yet, for carrying baggies and cleaning up after your pets, but there is in our incorporated city of Punta Gorda, soon here too?

PSS Hubby reminded me that the term 'bog' for boy-dog was actually from the movie Spaceballs, the movie circa 1987, our youngest son's favorite movie! Thus him using the term for his four-legged son.

Yip-pee Dip-pee!

As you can see I am up to no good again and oh what fun!
Making up words that nobody, but me and a few other English language mutilators who are downright harmless ones that throw caution to the wind kinda gals and guys too who lovingly rebel in the effort to find fun, fun, fun on any given SUNDAY or as we of the aforementioned mindset, FUN-DAY peeps!
We may not have too much going on, and I mean that locally, not wherever you may have been thinking…
Ha, we know of your way of thinking that we have it too in our lovely thoughtful creative minds, but we just might be the opposite of that thought process of yours, which confines itself to narrow-mindedness, forgiveness please from you or not, kidding…but when you have not too much going on, in the neighborhood, yes the actual neighborhood, it takes a bit to have moments to imagine how to change that all up, ya know?

Now many might try new and different things; games and books and other indoor toys, not that kind, but if you are into that, go for it; go on… we’re not looking/watching too closely, ha…!

Although, some might try a craft or a repair project as long as you’re comfortable inside in air-conditioning and out of the 90F + weather right outside your door…and so choices once again are yours for the un-denying fact that you have a claim to that tame but may need to contain your passions with some type of campaign of loving your life and making it not die of ptomaine or at the very least… boredom, anyway, ha!

OH WAIT I am not too late!

Yippee is an acceptable word:

Geez, this writing of and defining of words for the masses is not as simple as most would think.
But I am proud to contribute to the world at-large, and yes it is very large!
And do any of us really know or understand the reasoning behind stating things that way?
No?

“Definition of AT-LARGE

: relating to or being a political representative who is elected to serve an entire area rather than one of

Idiom:
at large
1. Not in confinement or captivity; at liberty: a convict still at large.

4. Not assigned to a particular country. Often used in combination: ambassador-at-large.”
5. At length; copiously.

More than you wanted to know? No?

And so, where was I doing no good if I recall, mutilating our American language, because it ain’t the English- English that originated from our mother country, is it?
Or is it?
Since that was a combination of many countries words derivations mostly from the Germanic and French words, some Italian I am more than sure perhaps a smattering of Gaelic too, but truly NOT originating from here and yet we claim to protect its usage with a death-grip  at times so tight one would think that we as Americans were inflexible, huh?
No way, who says?
They all came from somewhere; me too!

On that note of whatever floats your boat and mine too, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Stay tuned more Neuvo words to come... and not just on Sundays!

Another day... and whew for that!

...Thank heavens!
Today was not a common day, and yet it was not uncommon either.
Each day is not unlike a blade of grass, a cloud, a hair follicle, a human being, true?
Why then did Hubby and I have the attitude of saying that when you're retired each day is the same, in reply to people wishing us a TGIF, Thank Goodness It's Friday, just yesterday?

Whoa, what were we thinking, pppppp pppppptttttt, phooey!
We must have jinxed us/me!

Without going into too much detail, things did not go at all well after in the evening, culminating possibly in part with that cryptic blog of last night...
But even I have decided to NOT to live in the past, not even my recent past, okay?
So allow me to move on to today, alrighty now...
Many people write what's in their hearts on these things and I too have not been one to not avoid that practice, but you all know that.
Heartfelt anything when written has an honesty quality that most people can relate to.
In general people can tell when you are sincere and when you are not… and who hasn’t felt that at times we should have not only honesty, but sincerity dials worn on our clothing, sort of like giant thermometers, and wouldn’t that be really cool?
I suppose they would work as lie detectors too…
And well, that could create a problem, most people out of the goodness of their demeanor's, try not to be mean and therefore hem and haw and skirt the total honesty thingy that is doing it and being totally honest 100% of the time, ya know?
Otherwise we would all be in BIG trouble with spouses, kids, relatives and parents’ friends and colleagues and the list goes on…
Although, I still feel that honesty is the best practice in most cases.
But even the best of us know that it cannot be fair to tell everyone exactly how it is…in a relationship, in a courtroom when sworn in, to your children with very important things that are of course age appropriate, yes those are some of the times when telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth is necessary!
I am more than sure there is quite a list of more times to tell how it really is, but you all know when that is, and daily we are tested to find out in our own lives when that is the time to do that… sometimes we regret telling or not telling, but as I've said living in the past is not for me anymore!
So I would like to think of each day as it comes with its choices and decisions of what we are going to learn from each and everyone of them.
This morning I went into the pool and spent another hour with a five minute break in between, and Hubby did his things outside while keeping a protective eye on me, and then we decided after checking online to see if any indoor venues had anything going on that we might enjoy and sadly they did not, but we made our own fun, get your minds out of the gutter! (Nah, we love each other so it’s okay to think what you want!)

But actually we found two movies that we must have missed, Ella Enchanted circa 2004 for more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327679/and Cold Mountain circa 2003 for more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159365/, both with excellent casts…they totaled five hours of entertainment that we enjoyed.

And thanks to the close proximity to our kitchen, actually we have what many call their great room our living room is right there too enabling food prep for dinner to be done and not miss any of the movies!
All in all it was a win, win.

Many who do not live in Florida, make that Southwest Florida are not aware of the sky high temperatures we have been experiencing here, although many in our country have been having them too.
Today outside it did reach 99 degrees F and that is not with the heat index that is the outright Fahrenheit temperature, and the humidity was very low in the 30-ish range… but even so according to the meteorologists its feel like temperature was, wait for it…around 110, sorry the tonight’s weather guy didn’t give the feels like temp… and our printout I threw out by mistake, it had adorned the fridge.
I found the site: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/epz/?n=wxcalc_heatindex
And it said only around 106, WHAT???
I said only?
What, am I crazy?
Don’t answer that!

On that note of silly is as silly does… booga, booga, please insert happy face here, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Confucius says...

...Life is...
No one said any of this would be easy, nope, not anyone...
Sure there are days when things go just how you/I planned,WHAT?
Not really, even the best laid plans of man, or in my case woman can be said to have perfection in their adjective descriptiveness of their end result, no............really they don't!
Imagination is quite imaginative, hmm, redundancy at its finest...

And so my terrible day ends with what I wrote all gone!

Artificial is IN!!!!

It is the new do all, to take over from the almost did right, who knows?

Oh, you didn't know?
Sure it is.

Many might think that I have lost my mind, but I reiterate, NO! These pictures just look similar to ones posted previously for this project, but these must be examined closely since to the untrained eye they might appear to be the same as I posted previously, but they are NOT! Look at the texture of this item does it look natural or for that matter as if it came from a plant substance, now check the weft and warp (and yes that school I went to in, NYC LIM, had us take textile courses too), can you see any? No? I didn't think so. And do you know why that is? Because it isn't there, ha!

Its predecessor was all natural and had weft and warp all through its wazoo but that didn't keep that all cotton, canvas material still could not hold its own sadly, oh no! I suppose it was being used for something beneath its true capabilities to adorn a swimming pool as a sailcloth something that it was never ever meant to do before or to do at all, huh? For it was a mere painter's drop cloth, but nothing is wrong with that, really!

Let me put it to you this way... it fought its battle of the wind and lost badly! Not too much damage was incurred and its ability to move on to more suitable positions, such as outdoor draperies with natural rope tie-backs, is still in its cards as a possibility, or any one my many ideas of what shall be yet to be done with this slight tears in a canvas of many incarnations, and as yet to be realized. The damage is too small to be obvious, but enough to tell that the job was not for its too gentle sensibilities!

So we gave the job to another at the same bargain price but slightly larger/longer/leaner 12' X16', but with a reputation that proceeded him just by his loud packaging with all one might want or need to know, but not TMI!
Only time will tell the truth...

Many artificial things are new again, such as poly anything and hair coloring and... well you all know other people who have all sorts of artificial body parts... get your mind out of the gutter, I was referring to artificial hips and knees and oh okay boobies and noses too!
It's amazing to me that at this age of maturity that all I have artificial is not-a-thing... oh you thought I was going to mention my hair color, and I say why?
It is my naturally, in my heart of hearts, truest to me color that is only enhanced by artificial means, that's all....  but there is nothing wrong with anyone else using artificial enhancement for anything, so why talk about it, really! Shame on all of us! KIDDING! You all are free to judge the world, since nothing I say has any right to tell anyone else what they should do ever...

On that sillier than I had to be note, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Confession is good for the soul?

Today I was able, yes physically and emotionally able to leave our cheerful and happy, but gotta get out of there after too many days confined in it, home!
And I ended up showing my face and the rest of myself cheerfully to the hospital PT rehab, a free delivery of me by Hubby to continue my physical therapy and today I was with PT Paula for my continuing dizziness resolution treatment.
So now I am once again, dare I say, a DIZZY BLOND, officially!

Ha, life can be sweet or bitter and who hasn't had both.
I have for sure, and today I had another taste of both.

The bitter part:
Doing what my PT Paula tells me to do I am still finding I am not so sure on my feet, as symbolized in my wooziness while holding onto the parallel bars, it felt like rough waves on the ocean and I reacted like a drunken sailor as I had been told to put weight on each leg separately.
Also, my double vision appeared when told to look at the one 'X' placed on the floor for me to pinpoint locations; it was a head turner literally. The "X" factor exercise as I have decided to name this, for lack of any other moniker being as exacting in descriptiveness... the Xs are placed throughout the facility and the game/torturous exercise/exorcist is to keep your eyes on each one as you turn your body (get the exorcist connection?Or is that con-neck-tion?)
Any-who, the room is vast, I would think about one thousand square feet, about the same as our tiny lovable home. And although you do not travel to each "X" your eyes do, and it is not too difficult to understand the pictures from that iconic film of Alfred Hitchcock's,"VERTIGO", circa 1958, yep those same sensations...No wonder that is why I was diagnosed with that, hmm?
For more info:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertigo_%28film%29

The sweet part: was getting out again into the world, and tomorrow back into the pool. Yes, it is safe for me to go back into the water as long as I douse my hair with shower water first to prevent a greening effect, and not in an ecological good way either!
Best to keep my head out of the chlorine, if possible.

So happy that we kept a chlorinated pool instead of changing it into a saltwater one; too many very warm saltwater ones are having serious bacteria problems, of the flesh eating variety through cuts or any broken skin, scary! More info:http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/02/florida-bacteria-oysters/2909585/
Fresh water has gotten a reputation when too warm too of having those brain eating amoebas through your orifices, nose and private areas, horrible! More info:http://news.discovery.com/human/health/brain-eating-amoeba-110818.htm
And here in Florida, as in so much of the country, it has been extremely warm, for even summer here.
Chlorinated pools might have its naysayers, but at least it destroys most horror monsters, undesirables from entering your body!

To think I was starting to think that a saltwater pool would be so nice with no chemicals, whew, thank goodness this time since to switch over was not at all cost effective for us!
It turned out to be one of those things that sounded too good to be true... and it was.

It's so nice to have this time together.
And talking to you this way is so beneficial for sharing, and I truly hope that as I continue to learn things daily and share some of that with you and you share with me as well online on FB or through my Googling things you already know and so this is a two way continuing street that is so affable, and I just wanted to say thanks!

On that note please realize I meant what I said sincerely, now allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS my confession was telling all about HAIR COLOR GATE to PT Paula!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
