Key lime anyone?

Dare I say, who's laughing now? Okay, we all are, but not for long...germination did take a wee bit longer than many other seedlings that I have grown, although the first time it appeared that I had goofed...And then I thought of what I did years ago to force things to grow, plants that is, not children by any means, ha... I put Saran wrap over the top and attached it with a rubber band all over after I had added the coffee grounds for an additional acid soil adjustment and Voila in days, I saw babies sprouting, vegetation ones that is and so I removed the Saran, and that was as of 6-19-14! The last two pics were taken just a few minutes ago, today 6-22-14! At this rate I can see a tree in our future and soon after planted, fruit? Eh, it takes years, but we are on our way! NO laughing from me...or you now either I bet.

As far as Hubby's crop goes his is also doing quite well, and again I have PICS to prove that too, his heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes as well as his cucumbers:

In case any of you forgot where I got those seeds for my Key lime plant, here's a reminder...I'm just saying...acquired on 5-17-14 at the Fishville Key Lime Festival, sorry but that is not the date planted though, shamefully I did not write that date down.., but it was a while after...of course! I do believe that germination of most seedlings is seven to ten days, but mine took, maybe fourteen to twenty-one, still, it did happen; let's all remember that!

On that cheerful note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and I will now ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Out of our comfort zone by about a forty miles radius...nearly fifty!

Today, we went to the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers, Fl, www.shellfactory.com we had been many times before, but this time we noticed a picture of the owner that is not amongst the pictorial that I have decided to let go of for your tonight's entertainment portion, but he has a dog, a family member of the four-footed fury persuasion, that looks just like our Skipper!

Any-who, that has not a thing to do with this pictorial that I have provided for your viewing pleasure and so let us begin!
There is another location, Hurricane Charley's Restaurant in Punta Gorda, with nightly entertainment and summer prices from 11 A.M.-5P.M. news articles and pictures adorning the walls of that day that should live in infamy for all who were here 8-13-04, a Friday, with even a picture of a U-haul truck a block from our own home all part of our adventurous day included; so do enjoy all...

Similar to my bargain mirror but theirs is, the smaller one is $85, and we paid $25 for one twice that size!

My luscious Cajun Jambalaya and below Hubby's Chicken Marsala!

A very nice day!

Obscure innocuous commentaries fill my notifications on FB and yours too I am more than sure...

And yet many are quite captivating.
But some are not.
Why does anyone believe that some things are more interesting to the world than life itself?
I know we all are free thinkers and that what we know to be fascinating to us one minute, ten years down the road it may be just plain ordinary by then or dare I say in just a few minutes after your utterance, or writing, ya know?
Sure, I too have been guilty, Oy Vey, have I been absolutely guilty too!
Let's face it though, the venue to express one's self though varies according to our dalliances, entitlements of declarations, not all are created equal, space wise, you know the saying... location, location, location, please be aware of that! And this is my outpost for that.
We all must realize that what we say is etched into cyberspace forever more and that alone should perhaps cause us all to think twice, albeit not for me, but for you with your common sense?

In truth, why would I be interested in the fact that you stopped using hairspray?
I suppose someone would be, but the fact that your hair ended up in your mouth due to wind or for some obscure reason and you did not taste hairspray, because you stopped using it you just wrote that, hello?! HIP HIP HOORAY WHOOP DEE DOO! But of course, a no brainer...must you try to act like you have nothing but Marilyn Monroe quips in you???
The shockingly/sad part is that this is from a local celebrity.

It has always amazed me to find out that some of these on air folks without scripts have nothing to say worthy of a response from others who might find them to be really nice and down to earth instead of flighty or bland... if they only would stop acting like they need a writer to help them out putting two words together...really. You ARE NOT JUST A TALKING HEAD,  repeat after me!

As I said we are all free thinkers!
And of course they too have their right.
I did turn off that access of posting this consecutively shallow ambiguous written thoughts woman, although I did not unfriend her.
Sometimes I have done that too quickly and regretted it after.

We are all fans, in our family, of the half hour comedy show, The Big  Bang Theory, and I suppose I am also guilty of jibber jabbering about jibber jabbering and I am sure any other fans out there remembers that line of the character Penny's when speaking to Sheldon accusatory. Actually, if I recall correctly, that line was, "now you're jibber jabbering about jibber jabbering!"

So now I will leave all of you with a bit of food  for thought, huh, or not so much, but this is MY venue... my right too, allow me any-who to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And so next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Startling!

I know that I have a reputation, somewhat...
That is of not being as patient as many of you are.
Or for me allowing others to tell me that their way is right, even when I truly know that they are wrong...
Family is different than business people on how you handle them, right?
Sure kid gloves could/should be used with both that is instead of harsh bluntness, hmm?
Filters, that is what that is called, true?

Has it been working for you?
To get what you want done?
Or do you feel helpless and hapless and hopeless?

Fear no more!
Use the frustration card, explaining that you are needing to be paid for doing everyone else's job!
And action is yours for the staking!
Problems are solved!
Billing issues are fixed, actually, magically that elusive $340.43 was just that, fixed that is, since it was not mine, but now being subtracted from my July payment, since as I said I paid it online Saturday and today they sent it from my bill pay!
Sure I could stop payment at no charge to me, but now instead and after speaking with them and them  knowing that my bookkeeping was in fact correct after all. I suggested that I just pay the difference for this month's premium of $221.08, bringing the total to my usual $561.51 and we all agreed.

Another problem materialized today with the delivery of my MRI bill, for some reason my all encompassing deductibles from surgeries, hospital, doctor office visits etc. were no where to be located!
Voila!
Somehow, unbeknownst to me or Hubby who has a duplicate of my insurance card, the new one of options not select, which I destroyed not unlike credit cards that you don't use anymore or have received newer ones, you get the idea...

Amazingly, without benefit of our assist, since we both only have the newest card in our possession, the old select account was billed and paid all those charges, crazy!
Oh not that they were paid, but due to that I had no deductibles' credited towards any  new charges on the correct used account of options and so when I received bills from the MRI facility they billed me for the entire amount, so that was what I  was working on today.
You see, Florida Blue had nothing that they could find about them paying the hospital and it was an $18,000 plus bill( agreed percentage wise, of course) and my deductible of only $75 left me with a bill entirely paid by Florida Blue according to the  hospital, but the insurance company insisted that never happened!
Ordinarily I wouldn't care except for it was ALL WRONG!
They paid it with the other insurance plan that I was not on for even a few weeks and have been on this  since February 1st! Nothing happened in January to need any insurance...And this was April 30th for the hospital ER visit, see not right!

Any-who, after speaking with a woman named Nayelle, pronounced Natty, a competent supervisor for Florida Blue! After I had received from the hospital their claim number with Florida Blue, and an additional check payment reference number RE: the check that they received for payment! It is true that with the information I provided they were able to ascertain that it was sent to the select account that had been mine for a blip in time, but never actually used and no card was shown to anyone, on purpose or by mistake!

Oh well... I have been assured that all will be fine by this lovely soft spoken person, named Natty, but I have been fooled before by such sweetness though!
I appear to be at their mercy...and damn I don't like that, but in lieu of me starting my own insurance company I am between that proverbial rock and a hard place...

On that note of it being whatever it is, it is...allow me to be the very first  to wish all of you a very a happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

"Many will travel to hear you speak." "Your wisdom is a treasure for all time."

Sweet! And both of them mine, if only... i.e. my titled fortune cookies!

"Love is a warm fire to keep the soul warm."
Almost sounds like I wrote that slightly redundant fortune, with a nice sentiment though and it is Hubby's.
"Be considerate of your teachers." Another one of Hubby's and a few decades late.
Although, in reality we never stop learning, but whom could it be referring to, he is not currently dealing with anyone that would be in that role?

Hubby is disappointed with his this time, but I too have had a few that were not favorable and considered duds.

Jabbering about silly unimportant things when I am not a happy camper.
Sorry but this time I will be vague and not too explicit until all possible ways to handle this situation has been resolved.
Thus the feel good healthy Chinese steamed shrimp with Chinese vegetables dinner for me and Hubby's choice of Egg Foo Young and egg-drop soup for us both!
I don't eat the cookies, since I think that the company changed the recipe, I think, but the fortunes are always fun, true?

It's storming outside and it's looking as if the news tease, they might be hinting at something else possibly going on!
Do we need anymore here in Florida?
In the last few weeks they, now I forget which "they" it was this time, but what was said is that we top the list of being the most stressful state, yep number one, (that explains a lot for me anyway), and also number one for the most tornadoes, huh? That one I question a bit, due to the fact we are nowhere near tornado alley, and sadly all those horrendous horrible ones that have recently hit far from here! Pray for them all!Their devastation is severe and too many deaths, two too many this time...

Just last night on the local news again we have been told about the bacteria in the warm Gulf of Mexico water! Causing all shellfish to be served cooked by some method and do not swim with any cuts!
Good rules to follow anyhow.

I will keep plugging and speaking highly of the nice parts of our area and total state, including sunrises and sunsets that can't be beat!

On that more pleasant note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Well, I got one appointment firmed up...

The long-distance neuro, as he shall be noted as, to us is, due to the trip to see him; that will be early next month,it is a ninety-four mile round trip!
Easy peasy; I hear most of you all saying, hmm? It's been  a while since either of us traveled that distance, although we both have had long driving trips in our past experiences, jobs.

Hubby while in college was a NY/NJ cabbie to help pay his way, and decades later, I was a district manager in Florida with five stores, in five counties, which caused me to have to drive three thousand miles a month!

It's just these last few years that we have maintained our ten mile radius with all we need within it; so why venture further? (Anyway, actually, Hubby recently clocked the true mileage and it is a bit more in reality.)
Shopping and entertainment as well as hobbies, etc, plenty to do, and even doctors and hospitals, really!

Sometimes we have to, yep just have to leave our tight little area of our newest normalcy.
Over the years even before moving permanently here in 1986 we had been to nearly every area of this state from each coast and to all places of interest and some of not much interest, ha!
So we even have been to where this long-distance doc is many times over, during many decades, since the boys were babies, in the 1970's! My first Florida visit was the winter of '57-58' and then again '67.
Sarasota is one of many lovely cities in our state, nothing to say bad about it and  that is where we  will be going to see this newest doc for me.
I have a mid-afternoon appointment and so perhaps it might make sightseeing to their many neat places to go difficult, or maybe not, we will see...
Or maybe if I don't feel too bad in the future we might take some side-trips, lotsa to do there: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g34618-Activities-Sarasota_Florida.html
Google any city besides the usual ones that you were for all those amusement parks; almost every city has something fun to do here!
Sure, all over this state!
We all need to work on that "happy feeling," true? Life can be depressing...
It's as important as laughter to help you feel better, I do believe strongly in that.

So on that note of finding joy, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night, I started writing a happy birthday, oops! Any-who, have one of those too if it applies, even if not, ha...and kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Eureka!

And I don't mean the vacuum with that same name; what I think I have is my new neuro, okay we have all been through this before... i.e. me and my "new neuro", and to that I say ha! Only time will tell...
This one is a ways away, but is a specialist in Multiple Sclerosis, so much so that he, the fiftyish physician, has been a lecturer on the topic! I am in the process of making an appointment.
Yes, the trip to see him will be many times over our usual mileage.

My other found item was my missing $505.45!
Today I remembered  that I hadn't paid by check or online from my bank account, but on my credit card to expedite the payment that was made on 12/30/13!
I found the proof online on my credit card bill!
That is why I did not see it, since when anyone, including me, pays their credit card bill it is a lump sum for all charged items!
And January was dismissed, since I did not use the insurance that month anyway, and so the new insurance coverage did start February 1st that is why the January payment of $505.45 plus the same for February were applied with the additional monies of $112.12 for March, making those two payments also totaling $561.51, and then April, May, and June have all been paid by me in the exact amount of $561.51 of the new premium!
So for me to pay that elusive $340.43 was NOT correct! Oops, if all of you recall that when I could not find that third $505.45 payment I paid the $340.43 through my online bill pay of my bank.
And right now I am just waiting for Florida Blue's billing department to get back to me, Kecia, is the young woman who promised it would be before close today.

So now waiting is what I have to do...
Never easy for someone like me.

As of today I still have not heard back from the ENT's office, another long wait process.
Oddly enough I called a more local neuro and I had asked if he took care of MS patients and they said no to try Dr. so and so...  it was my female doc before this last older male one!
It made me laugh after and I just said thank you and hung up, since she really mainly handles Alzheimer's patients and I had to update her about multiple sclerosis regularly! Although, I must admit she did get me on the Copaxone and that was good, but she is also the one who told me my right eye wasn't worth fixing and even now I see better blurry than without any sight practically at all, but just a little bit of light then!
And that process is still on going, medication wise for righty eye! I go back to my eye doc in a little over a week.

Hope that was totally clear, huh?

Any-who, that's my life minus going into details with my weird health issues of late, one red cheek, yes my right one on my face!
And stomach and head pain that are being somewhat helped by using ice packs, would you believe?
Who knows...all I know I am now sleeping as of last night with head iced?
Our air-conditioning works fine and is nightly lowered, my head hurts though and the ice pack seems to help!

Enough already!

Allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS Our friends in all those countries at war; hear me now... STOP THE KILLINGS PLEASE!
YOU DO HAVE THE POWER! WE ARE ALL CRYING FOR THE LOSS OF LIVES! PLEASE STOP!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
