Rain stayed up long enough...

YES!
I was able to spend a lovely morning in our swimming pool.
The rain and our need to go to appointments were the reasons why I had missed way too many days.

Sure it sounds typical for a Florida lifestyle to enjoy such things, swimming that is, and we do consider it to be a very fortunate convenience.
But more than that it rejuvenates me and helps with my ROM, range of motion exercises for my maladies.
I am freer in the pool, like so many with compromised physical difficulties due to illness or injury. My balance is not an issue, since there is no fear of falling since I am buoyant, and even if I were to fall the landing would be virtually soft/weightless.

The pool at the rehabilitation center is where I first saw a paraplegic swim and laugh! He was in control and able to go where he wanted to unassisted while in the swimming pool there, they had lowered him into the pool via a chair alongside of it.
I was there for my first time back in the late nineteen nineties when I was unable to walk for six months, then they attributed it to my Fibromyalgia. I had not yet been diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis until a decade later in 2006, but my legs were rubbery and would not hold me up, talk about scary!
Water's powers are truly amazing, and immersion therapy is famous for helping with so many physical problems.
It was after that experience that I was well enough to get involved with the Arthritis Foundation and take their Aquatics class held there independently after I had completed my formal therapy.
A woman in her eighties was teaching mostly seniors in that class, and she was amazing.
That was one of the reasons I knew it was something that I would like to do, and not too long after that I also became a certified teacher.
Little did I know how often I would come back to those experiences of teaching for four years after for my own needs specifically.
I must admit it has been very helpful these last several years.
Aquatics has become my goto exercise like dance was when I was able. I had studied that for twelve years, ballet, tap, toe and jazz, as well as a bit of ballroom too!
Unfortunately due to balance issues dance is not my goto choice any longer, that is except when Gus, our Havanese rescue, wants to.
All our pups enjoyed music, even my singing which isn't what it once was, in the house or in the car it soothes them, and no none were savage beasts... although... nope not going there! He goes around in circles and puts his paws gently on your legs for you to grab his paws to dance, it is sooooo cute!

On that note of swim, swim, swim it's good for you too, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
