What a mess!

If you forget the first law of upscale retail, "you get what you pay for."
Okay, so that was our motto/expression/sales pitch what-have-you when I worked for Lord and Taylor's as a credit manager way back when. For those not familiar with Lord and Taylor's it is an upscale clothing store with its main address on Fifth Avenue in New York City alongside Saks, Bergdorf Goodmans and Bonwit Tellers all selling those fashion designers' clothing you might have heard about or even bought. There are many other stores spread throughout the country.
And so for a while that was my mind set but then I did have a twenty percent discount and knew when anything went on sale.
So I was able to be a great shopper, and I actually bought a sale dress with my 20% off too for five bucks once! I have for the last many, many years have been a discount shopper for good quality merchandise ever since.

Back to my enormous goof, those inexpensive phones from Consumer Cellular their Envoy, well they are NOT compatible with our car's Bluetooth and as far as being used for uploading pictures there was a reason I was unable to, they were not able to do that either and so we will be returning them as soon as we find new ones. And yes, we called and we do have that option. It was so aggravating trying for naught over and over again, since they had told us it had been possible; that's the only reason we did keep trying.

As many of you know we are not easily taken, and we do not usually allow companies with very good reputations to trick us.
But sadly that is how it does seem to us.
Sure the Envoy is fine for a phone without any other needs if we did want just that.
The Bluetooth is a safety measure for hands free while driving, but you all know that, and the upload for PICS perk for this blog that would definitely be nice, with my old water saturated phone we would have had to pay extra. Those were Motorolas that were also only $35 each, two and a half years ago but they no longer sell those and those were compatible with our Bluetooth without any issue at all. According to the uconnect company they said that it has to do with two parts, one being the Consumer Cellular company and now their phone, before the phone was NOT made by them, but this one was.
Many name brands are compatible plus most all carriers but our current one only due to their own expressly made for them phone, their Envoy is not.
Let's face it... it is easier to change phones than cars.

So this morning we were searching by phone and online, and we found a Nokia but more costly and we will definitely have to change servers and not wanting a contract and wanting to buy the phone outright the only types available appear to be pre-paid or as Hubby, a retired cop calls them"burner phones"which makes me think of all those TV shows with the criminals buying those
untraceable phones due to them being up to no good, illegal practices,  ya know what I mean? But we have not had to be under contract for so long it seems a shame to have only those two choices, really?
We neither want or need a more expensive phone that all these contracts have you paying off making you obligated to be attached to their contracts for two or more years!

Why in our minds would we need such expensive $600 to $800 dollar phones with our personal use or even desire for special effects, truly?

In closing so we have more investigating to do and according to the timeline to return the phones we do not have to rush, except for our desire to have what we want.

So on that note I hope we can figure this out, and to think if I didn't drown my phone this all would be a moot point and for that I feel guilty. I would be willing to forget my desire to upload pics if we could just have the ability for hands free, although we managed for years without, as you can see more thinking...is necessary. Now allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
