"Take a vacation, you will have unexpected gains."

Geez, last night I spoke of our beautiful state and showed a pictorial of proof and how living here is living in paradise and a vacation-land and it really is…but… we have not left our home since 2005 for a vacation, even in our great state. That time we did visit Cedar Key north of Tampa and also way up to the panhandle to visit Seaside, both quaint and worthwhile trips and we highly recommend them both.

We had plans for a week’s trip but believe it or not all three of us got ill, Hubby, Skipper and me.

Now if I can remember the ills was not life threatening but quite uncomfortable just the same so we cut the trip short and came home after five days. This was the same year that we just missed Hurricane Katrina, and so it was good that we left since historically you all know what happened with Katrina and we were where she skimmed the area and landed directly not that far from where we had left.

The year before was Hurricane Charley that had gotten us directly and it is odd how our small maladies made us head home and away from the disaster that no one knew was about to hit there.

Inevitably thankfully, we missed that horrendous experience and fortunately for us this time we were not hit, although some of Florida had been, but not as severely as what was about to happen throughout the mid-Gulf states and in our own panhandle.

So vacays have been a bit of a non-interest of ours; especially with my health concerns of MS and mobility these last several years that have made us wonder how to manage my needs as well as the expense.
Last night as you can tell we had ordered Chinese food again and thus the three fortune cookies, Hubby eats the cookies, but let me pick two of them to be mine with their fortunes. The title is mine as well as the next one and they sort of go together with a nice message; now you know why I mentioned our vacation history. And we are currently opened to that possibility of going somewhere sometime in our near future.

"A pleasant experience is ahead: don't pass it by." How truly sweet.

"If absolute can be defined, then absolute is not absolute anymore.”
This last one is rather confusing, since I always thought that “absolute” is like a fact an exact fact like in math, not an obscure idea or concept so in my mind, which has been wrong before it seems that an “absolute” would always be “absolute” and not subject to change?
Considering it is defined as: total, complete, utter, unqualified, unconditional, unlimited? (Ha perhaps), supreme, fixed (nah this proves otherwise), unmodified, unadulterated, pure, perfect and unquestionable, and there you have me questioning it? Now I get it, ha, I suppose!

Sometimes, I wonder if I was born here, and I know I was, but our own English language can be very confusing, ya know.

Moving on…

The pictures below are from a man who has been working hard in between helping me and our son, mowing our lawn etc. he is finishing that deck that needs him so very much.

His progress is tangible, which for me or him makes these projects that much more rewarding, especially when completed.

Today, we looked online for weather wood stain protectorant colors. Hubby liked beach beige and I like a cedar colored darker one, as it is as it said we have time to decide still, but has to be done. Previously we only used Thompson’s waterproofing clear coat. This time we felt it could use a bit better coverage with a thicker Behr brand sold at Home Depot.
Coverage when done will be needed for 288 square feet when all is said and done.

That’s it for tonight except to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all of your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
