There ought to be a law!

So you go online and fill out the forms to be on that infamous, “DO NOT CALL LIST” and for some strange reason they keep calling; on our landline mostly, but occasionally on the cell phones too.
And yes, before you ask we have recently filled out the proper forms to not receive unwanted calls, again.

Thankfully, we have no bill collectors needing to contact us, since we have made sure we pay all the bills that we acquire, including our not having credit card balances each and every month; those are all paid in full too. And yet they call with offers to lower our cards interest rate, PS we only use two cards, and when you pay the balance every month there is no interest charged, so no need for us to deal with them.

But lately our caller I.D. has been not only giving us an out of area I.D. with a tape recorded message, but another has a Survey I.D. with nothing after, no recording or a live person speaking, so I hang up. At times I answer in odd sounding yeses or hellos, deep and masculine or high pitched and weird, making a game out of it. I swear that the next time someone asks for me by name I am willing to say that I am dead and perhaps that would stop it.

Although, when my Mom died and we contacted Reader’s Digest to discontinue her magazines they continued to send them and even sent new subscription bills to her. In those days in the 1980’s you called and spoke with a person in their subscription department too…Now my Dad was a living doll in temperament but this also made him very angry with them asking to renew her subscription to it, over and over again, and so to this day I have not ordered Reader’s Digest by mail or bought it in any store; since that left a bad taste in my mouth how they did not handle it well at all in my opinion and how that was so frustrating for my dear ole Dad.

We, Hubby and I have even hit the option to speak to a real person on the few that have that option and that is only due to our need to ask them to stop calling!
Nothing seems to work.

The ones on our personal cell phones are infrequent and have no number identity to call back or notify the attorney groups who have advertised on the TV that you are entitled to get as much as $1500 for these annoying calls, but Geez those are from the bill collector ones that hammer those poor people! I am more than sure if they had the money they would pay.

So in reality we do not qualify for that help of getting money for a very annoying problem.

I wonder how many of you out there get these daily issues of wastes of time and how do you handle them; is there an answer.

I suppose the best way is to use one of those loud horns or just hang up or…keep my little different voices game going, perhaps add in some foreign accents; my British one is pretty good and my Aussie ain’t half bad either, my Spanish is rather fun, my Parisian French is not too foo foo, just a bit over the top, ah Italia is amore and so I could really have one heck of a time if I plan ahead and now look forward to these asinine annoyances, oh what fun! BIG SMILE HERE.

You do it your way and I’ll do it mine, but I would not be upset if you shared how you handle this at times intolerant situation.

On that note of what’s up, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
