A bit better today...

If I keep improving during the day with doing things smarter not harder, who knows what might happen?
Last night was difficult with ice packs interchanged most all night long.

Today was an off day from physical therapy and so I spent more time in the pool.

Yesterday, I had an early PT and so Hubby felt that I would not have enough time to go into the pool first, but I did find myself with extra time on my hands before we left...

Any-who, today, I did three half hours in the pool, with five minute breaks in between, to make up for the hour I missed yesterday, no that does not make any sense, does it?

Well, it was quite a bit for me to do, and I had to see what worked and didn’t.

You all know the drill; if it hurts when you do this, don’t do that!

Anyway, although I was able to maintain my self-imposed decision to go for an hour and half today in our backyard swimming pool, I was mostly only able to walk around in the pool.

Now to some that might seem simple, but even though our pool is not enormous the challenge is that its depth goes from three feet to five feet, and so one must tread water in the deeper end if you are my wee height of five foot one, I used to be five-two, but somewhere over the years I lost an inch, anyone sees it please return it here…so your choices on that deep end is to tread water or swim or float on your front or back or anyone of number of things that someone of my nearly sixty years of swimming and fifty years being once also being lifesaving certified and with Aquatics certification too… someone like me, who can barely lift her legs to kick without pain…walking seemed like the most benign way to go and I have been doing that for the last few weeks with this problem, to keep going, besides my dizziness has less affects on me while being in there, who knows why?

The shaded area under the sailcloth and the eighty-five degree temperature of the water, compared to the very hot air, another ninety-four degree day; it is amazing to me that it still has not heated up, i.e. pool water.

One year the pool got so hot like the surrounding air and our solution was to float several two liter frozen water bottles in it to cool it down from its over one hundred degrees temperature!
And no we are no longer into hot tubs or spas, since most are laden with bacteria, and if not the chemicals are too much to control the bacteria, lose, lose in my opinion.

Back in 1986, in Ormond Beach our first home there, we did install one then, a 4’X6’ attached to our 18’X36’ nine foot deep pool with a diving board for the boys we had installed. The spa became a baby/toddler pool for company and then it was considered a peeing pool for the little visitors, so not a good idea, just my opinion, whatcha gonna do?

Ours today could be staying cooler due to more evening rains that are later than we used to get them, mostly they used to come in the afternoon, around three, like clockwork.

Now our night time temps are down into the seventies only… These days the rain seems to come in after dinner or during the night even, even with daytime temps still too warm; not one day that I can recall these days below ninety, and that is, even for southwest Florida towards the end of September is quite unnatural; eighties would be nice at this point in time and usually is here by now.

Thankfully all possible hurricanes have diminished out in the Atlantic or went where there are no land masses to harm.
I sit again tonight with my embellished bosom, stuffed with an icepack wrapped on a terry hand-towel without its partner, single iced tonight, but still doing what it is meant to do and making me quite the voluptuous blogger gal, if only!

On that horrid picture running in your fertile brilliant minds (good luck with wiping that from your memory banks, ha!) allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
