Slowly I turned...

...And what transpired next was a bit confusing!
Today was a day that I thought that I would be replacing my slax wardrobe.
You see, while being an independent exerciser I had acquired three pairs of Capri style pants,  i.e. purchased, all in comfortable cotton blends and in assorted colors, black, navy and khaki that I bought tops of different types and patterns to wear with them for on those three days a week that I went to the rehab/gym during that period of time.
Each pair had suffered minor damage during their use; the black one's right cuff got caught in a peddle while on the arm cycle, the foot peddles not being used would still be moving, and its hem was pulled, the navy's pocket got caught and ripped out too! Still I don't recall exactly how that happened, but it too was at the gym.
Now the khaki one was not damaged while at the gym, but got a slight stain from a non-color fast purple top that I did wash in a cold water wash by mistake with other clothing items.

And so today we/I decided to go back to my favorite outlet store Beall's, not even two miles from home, and Hubby dropped me off while he went across the street for a  haircut and had left me with my scooter, phone/purse and club soda in my stainless container.

I was extremely happy to see that they finally installed automatic doors, so Hubby could literally drop me at the door and go to accomplish his errand.
The feeling I got when I entered the store was of not anything familiar, everything had changed!
Oh it was definitely for the better, previously showing nearly a slocky appearance...

"slock

to the face that a car that is completely stock in form except outward appearance. A combination of the words Sloppy + Stock = Slock."

But this was not at all an outlet appeal design; it appeared to be be more organized and visually satisfying...
No mess no fuss, every department clearly marked by signs airborne, the others had been too, but for some reason these were more noticeable and my disorientation began to leave me.
Soon I was transported from department to department being able to find things that I didn't need, but were displayed so lovely that I gave them all a second and third look!
I came away with one pair of navy pants, since they no longer had any of the other classic designs that I was trying to replace.
Alright, I was impressed with their displays and bought something that has no useful quality what-so-ever and probably is illegal to sell anywhere, a cluster of white coral, it was only $5.99 with %15 off, oh that's right that is why I had wanted to go today. Monday's are always %15 off for anyone over fifty and  so for all these years I try to go there then, since I turned fifty a few years back, oh alright, over a decade ago!
Hubby wanted me to pick up his staple of jean's shorts, there thirty or forty dollar shorts are a mere $9.99 and today 15% off! No seconds,by the way...
Any-who, I nearly forgot his shorts until I was rolled in online behind a man about our age wearing a pair, just like Hubby wears, thin like him too. Hubby wears the same size forever, 32, and his jeans pants are still 32/32,  he is about five eleven and weighs 155 pounds even today, would you believe and he will be sixty-five this fall!

Anyway, when I had gone back and was about to get online again Hubby came into the store. I had two pairs, both marked 32's and so he tried them on, one  pair was perfect and the other one was way too big!
So much for sizing, that will teach all of us!

Oddly enough, for some reason when I got home I looked at my pants and thought they too ran in the wrong size, and although they were the same size and brand that I am wearing even now,  that does fit, they will be returned! The receipt is with them in the bag in the car already sadly, guess I will have to try and sew those two pants and try another washing of those khakis that I do love with my turquoise blouse especially!

On that note of trying to be busy and accomplish supporting local businesses, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, you hear?

I know you are trying, but keep on doing it!
