Tell me why...

Why is it that asking questions of some people is okay and it calls for a compatible, mutually respected conversation?
While others if you try to get information from them about, oh I don't know, let's say your own medical condition they take it as a personal affront? How dare you want to know anything about you! Or... how dare you have any intelligent knowledge of your own disease process! Damn! I have been told that knowledge is power! And who wants an ignorant person unwilling to help them self?
And that concept goes back to Sir Francis Bacon who first coined the phrase and idea for mankind to ponder too. Okay, trite but true...
"Knowledge is power.
Sir Francis Bacon, Religious Meditations, Of Heresies, 1597
English author, courtier, & philosopher (1561 - 1626)  "

Over the many years that I have had to deal with people I found that there are people who know their jobs and those who are only there to collect a paycheck. Too many are still out of work, so wait, you may have to think twice about not caring!
When did it become uncool to admit when you don't know something, instead of just saying; wait a minute and I will go and find out?
In any position, in any field of course you should be trained well enough to do your job and of course on occasion there could be somethings left out of that initial training, but never ever lie to yourself or others saying that you know something when you really don't! That my dear friends is called incompetence!
It will come back to bite you one way or another.

My experience of studying business in school plus working in business that is owning three different ones as well as working for others too and maintaining a certain quality that made them all work well and feeling that all businesses must work like well oiled machines...

I do believe that my recent frustration with people in the medical fields has proven to be warranted.
People who do have your life's health, literally, in their hands due to ordering medication properly
and if not can truly cause devastation, by slight mistakes.

And their doctors who feel that patients really don't have any rights to know by meeting any honest questions with silence or annoyance; in my opinion they should go back to learn that it's okay for patients to want to know about their own care, yep, it's more than that it is a right!

Then you have good people like this nurse from BCBS, Gail, who is a health coordinator for people with chronic illnesses, she calls once a month to check in and is in the process of getting me a nutritionist via telephone conversations. They have many professionals available to help if you just ask.

That is the other thing, my frustrations with people, at first I was blaming myself for being too impatient and than I said it out loud to her what my issues were and even what had happened and she said that it was a definite issue with them, not me!
Validation. Peace of mind.

So as many know when you are competent at what you do I feel safe in your care, why wouldn't anyone, truly? So now allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
