The trend continues...

How many of you awoke an hour later today?
I knew that you did; I did too, and what a surprise, hmm?
Good thing for any of you still working I bet that most all of you were off today being today is Sunday?

Although, many people do work on Sundays, medical professionals, police, and fire people, and retailers and movie theaters and on and on and on...

So I wondered how many who live in these United States of America that follow daylight savings time, but not all of our states do, did you know?

Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation, which does observe daylight saving time), Hawaii, and the overseas territories of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the United States Virgin Islands do not.

For more info. goto: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_in_the_United_States

The rest of the world too does seem to utilize daylight savings time; here is the list by country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_by_country

And I am embarrassed to admit that I thought we, in the US, were the only ones, duh on me, for shame!

Even though I feel I am well traveled, having been to forty US states and eight countries, it's never enough, really, and besides I have never stayed long enough abroad to know about their daylight savings times.

Moving on...

Hubby took on the gargantuan task of deep cleaning, albeit with our power floor cleaning machine our ceramic tile floors, which are in 90% of our home, only our guestroom has carpeting.

And my job was again the little things, bath rugs, and Skipper's Mommy blankets, definition: fake sheep's wool looking and feeling throws that ordain our white sofa in the living-room, cutting down on wear and tear of it, or so we hope. Oh and me making two out of our three meals today. Hubby did breakfast/brunch and lunch was soup, canned, for shame, Progresso light chicken and dumplings, with two small leftover salmon croquettes each, dinner was chicken, mashed potatoes and frozen California mixed veggies, which is cauliflower, broccoli and carrots, good for us. Peaches are for later.

Our trend here seems to be on a cleaning bender...soon I will have to go through the closets for old clothes and dresser for the same to donate or toss...

It feels good to purge things that really need that.

We live so compacted here in these small quarters that we chose for logical reasoning nearly sixteen years ago...

And so to simplify our lives with so much other priorities like health issues...

Decisions were easier then.
Even so over time things do have a way of accumulating, don't they?

So on that note of good intentions to simplify and minimize, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
