"Throwing the baby out with the bath water."

Is an idiom that this idiot (it sounded okay at the time, oops sorry; not one, just a wee bit not too smart and the two are just one letter off, hmm? Fascinating really.)And I have found it quite useful and I have used it quite often. It is explained wholly below for anyone who might live under a rock or is way too young to have heard it used in their recent lifetime.

"Throwing the baby out with the bath water" is an expression that implies that an entire idea, concept, practice or project doesn't need to be rejected or discontinued if part of it is good. The baby, in this sense, represents the good part that can be preserved. The bath water, on the other hand, usually is dirty after the baby is washed and needs to be discarded, just like the parts of the concept that are bad or useless.

Origins of the Phrase

There are many ideas on the possible origins of this expression. Many people incorrectly attribute the expression to English or Irish origin. The phrase was first recorded in 1512, and used by a German writer, Thomas Murner, in his verse book, Die Narrenbeschworung. From Germany, the expression became commonly used in the United Kingdom and then in France."

My point is that over the many years that I have been on this planet I have heard too many people condemn too many companies, such as BIG PHARM, and conventional medical practices and one day this thingy is healthy for you and the next day that thingy isn't healthy for you, and we all know in our heart of hearts that many things should be "taken with a grain of salt", another well placed idiom, hmm? Or trading non tested methods for a better way, or people confused getting rid of any and all possibilities due to their confusion, ya know?

"take something with a grain of salt,
to consider something to be not completely true or right I've read the article, which I take with a grain of salt.
Related vocabulary: hard to swallow
Etymology: based on the idea that food tastes better and is easier to swallow if you add a little salt"
Life is difficult enough without disbelieving everything that we are told, but as we all know erring on the side of caution and using your abilities to search for the truth is always a job well done, for you and yours... I can hear the world saying a very practical concept, everything in moderation, but of course not poison!

Scary what we hear on the nightly news, about food products, our water/air supplies and medication that can literally kill you!
So, don't be foolish, be aware and find out everything you can. We are all techno obsessed, so no reason not to know, and yes, when it comes to the media they do make BIG mistakes, but it is always better for us consumers of their product to err on the side of caution, even if the next day they retract that statement!
Diligence is a given.
Moving on…
“Passionate, sweet, dramatic, eloquent!
Oddly enough those were the first four words I saw on one of those charts with jumbled words on it, and supposedly those are the ones that the publisher of such chart says describe you. In this case me… You see, now this is a perfect example of why we should “take things with a grain of salt”, but it was fun to do just the same! And the person who put the chart up seems to agree, since she keeps saying how lovely! But we all know it was way off!

The other things I did today was answer six questions that was to determine my mental age, and it came up with 32,; how very flattering. Since that is nearly half my real age!
Another, fine example of a grain of salt… Boy this could all raise my blood pressure!

On that note of the ridiculous, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS there was a time that I would have been considered passionate, although today I am on some topics that get my blood boiling, see not all passion has to do with sexy stuff, although that’s very nice too…
Being sweet, gave me the feeling of not being honest, since too sweet in some situation, to me IS being saccharine, which for many, if not familiar, that is an artificial sweetener!
Now dramatic, was the better part of my teen years, although, some days, these days many might think of me that way, but only due to my passionate beliefs! LOL!
Being of the mindset of using this medium for self expression, and at times not finding I meet the clarity of description to explain what I want to come across to my readership… I so wish that I was able to be as eloquent as the masters was. Albeit, to be fair, if I spoke in many of their powerful fluent verbiage, some may still not understand from whence my point is coming from, huh?
