A renewal, rebirth, revival, renaissance, rejuvenation,
restoration!
Who or what in life regenerates and what is it that they do
renew?
Lizards regenerate their tails, “Planarians are flat worms.
If cut into pieces, each piece can grow into a new worm.
Sea cucumbers have bodies that can grow to be three feet long. If cut into pieces, each one can become a new sea cucumber.
Sharks continually replace lost teeth. A shark may grow 24,000 teeth in a lifetime.
Spiders can regrow missing legs or parts of legs.
Sponges can be divided. In that case, the cells of the sponge will regrow and combine exactly as before.
Starfish, as you already know, that lose arms can grow new ones; sometimes an entire animal can grow from a single lost arm.
Oh, and salamanders, too”

… And crabs and lobsters can grow new claws…
So many living things in nature can by all means regenerate
including plants and with that said…
Oops I did it again, what’s that you ask I know you didn’t,
but I will tell you anyway...I goofed with a living thing, and was embarrassed
to fess up to the awful thing that I accidentally did… I cut into my beloved Caladium,
due to my lack of perception with trimming back the done with leaves I nearly
cut off the major long one in a slow mo one’s in process of opening, a largess
deep purple kingly prize! And this was last week. I know how slow do I go with
telling the truth, huh, so shame on me!
I did something radical and not common in the gardening
world to repair or gave first aid to the nick/slash of the stem I used Scotch
tape to bandage it! CRAZY! I only hoped it could work, never thinking that it
would, what I really wanted was to buy some time for the leaf to open, ya
know?
what has occurred: It looks like another stem or leaf?
And do you know something that darn rescue leaf is still not
open…
but alive!
On that too odd note of how nature can regenerate, which more
than proves for us as a race of beings of how we rose up from our ache of the
slashing of our hearts on this date back on 9/11/2001 and we must always
remember that pain of loss and how we came back and continue on… no matter what
we have to face…allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy
good night and ask you all to kindly count all of your blessings and share all
those overages with you know who and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
PS Science is still working on human limb regeneration,
forever, but liver pieces are happening now and as we know for burn victims
skin can be grown from their own… and hopefully SOMEDAY for everything
we need 'stem cells' could be that hope realized!
