Nine Eleven

Seeing it written like that takes some of its power away; our generation’s day that will live in infamy, 11 years ago doesn't seem so far away, since most of us, although, our memories are fading in other areas, find we have total recall of that date of 9.11. 2001. Most adults who were living breathing beings on that date more than likely could still tell you exactly where they were and how they learned about or saw what had happened. I suppose I should not leave it to just adults, because sadly more than likely many children have that shocking memory etched in their brains forever too. That being the day that we realized once again that we had to become our brothers' keepers, for very soon it was evident who was responsible and the entire world were able support all of us together. The truth was that every part of the whole that was destroyed was of representation of mini United Nations. From every corner of the world, a person from that part was torn out of it, before their time, leaving behind many souls who loved and cared about them. For as we all know the United States of America is a melting pot and welcomes people from throughout the world that worked and lived here. These evil beings were welcomed too, but unbeknownst to us were up to no good. They befriended innocent people and stole their trust to conduct their mass murders and suicide missions. How can anyone erase what we saw? And we shouldn't, we must always remember as with other horrendous historic events, so as never to allow them to ever be repeated. There are 10-year-olds who have no idea what happened that day, except in their history books, unbelievable… For the rest of us, the ones who come after us all we must remind them of that day and let them know that the world mostly, 99% at least it's good and decent and wants what they want, but it is that measly 1% that could get them and all of us. That's not to make anyone feel paranoid but to be careful and when considering making peace for all on the only planet that we all have to share, again be careful. Today, a person that I may or may have not gone to school with but from Paramus where I did grow up posted on Facebook a chilling picture that made me have so many emotions that were difficult to explain. The depiction of the picture was from the New Jersey side in Jersey City, New Jersey, apparently a park with several flags flying on poles and in the distance across the Hudson River majestically standing as they should be were the Twin Towers, and the date the photo was taken was 9.10.2001, the day before all of our lives changed forever. Now if this doesn't give you some chills you’re made of ice, but that is just my unrequested opinion, as usual. Moving on, how do I follow that? With a little bit of crazy, today in spite of my aching this and my aching that I made a haircut appointment at Fantastic Sam's with Sherry my wonderful competent compassionate understanding hairstylist and at a bargain price too, any-who when I called to make the appointment there was noise in the background of the salon and she asked me who was calling? In the noise surrounding her the only explanation for her response to when I gave her my name could explain why she said what she said when I said my name and that was, she said my mother's name; oooooooooo, oooooooooo and more than a month a month early too! (Halloween) Now any one of my readers that follows this regularly might remember a similar incident I believe it was at Publix when the cashier asked me my name again and I said my name and she said my mother's name… Scary! Now neither of these women knows my mother since she died back in 1982. Which makes me not want to but have to think about them having a hearing disorder, nah, that somehow my mom is trying to communicate with me; now that's the scary crazy part, or is it? Both my parents passed away before 9/11 and in a way I am happy for that, Yep that's crazy; only since it would have killed them anyway. But if we all believe that there is life after death or heaven and hell they could all be together hopefully in heaven or on another plateau were with us in our heart and soul and head which is where I carry mine. Perhaps, the two little anecdotes are related, because when you lose someone no matter whom if you knew them and cared about them what we all like to think is that when we speak to them they hear us, right? And maybe my mom was talking to me and yes, mom I'm not quite sure what you're trying to tell me, maybe with it being as simple as it being a good idea to get my haircut, saying that my bangs are hanging past your eyes, ha! If nothing else it’s nice to think that and I hope when you think about people you love and they have gone to wherever they go that if you hear from them, you listen! Although, my eyes are dry my heart is crying for today is the day that we lost many people who deserved to have full lives, and perhaps today was the day I heard from my mom once again; the tears are really flowing now. Sorry, to leave you all with so much sadness, but the believers in you are saying they’re in a much better place now and others are sure they are in heaven and others still believe they may be a butterfly or on another plain and some like me know in their hearts they always dwell there and perhaps, just maybe they will find a way to tell them they know in some way like my mom did? I hope that hope is something that has a good connotation and is not ever used as just a political tool that we all know that we need a little bit of that to exist with one another and on that note, allow me to be the first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
