Descript!

The day was full of numerous actions…since it was quite DESCRIPT!

And yes, DESCRIPT is a word meaning, “1. archaic: describe
2. archaic; inscribe. Origin of DESCRIPT.L descriptus, past part of describere” thanks to www.merrian-webster.com
Now to further investigate: “described is to tell or depict”, but you all knew that! And now I do too, thanks to Encarta Dictionary English (North American), kidding!
And “inscribe is to write, print, carve or engrave letters on a surface”… thanks to the www.thefreedictionary.com
Gosh we all knew that, hmm?

I know that sometimes simplicity is silly to know but to know is not silly at all got that?

With that poignant message, ha, I will now move on to complete my diary of our busy action packed day of much descript that I will try to accomplish while thinking hard to not lose you!

We left rather early but not really, around 10:30 A.M., and our first stop was to ACE hardware; they had sent us an email coupon for a free quart of paint, and so we went there to pick up a quart of white figuring I could tint it as I have done before with any of my acrylics, and yes, it does work. I have done it many times before with most all latex type paints of the white colorization tone.

Any-who, Hubby went in and left me in the car, air running, since maneuverability for my cool blue scooter was not viable in their narrow passage ways. Minutes later he returned, a bit befuddled, he explained that the catch was you must chose a color of paint and so it was the campaign, of being colorful, my own personal favorite thing to be…and he needed me to come in to choose one… and so I made it in there with my walker and sat on its seat and chose one color a pale turquoise, but alas they were unable to make it since it was all gone, apparently and an excellent choice by many… The winner was the second choice of Sea Mist, another bluish greenish tinge pale but not as light as the first choice but still in what many would consider the Spa feeling variety. For in my bathroom we had purchased bead-board paneling a while back with chair-molding and I thought it might work well on that, since the rest of the bathroom is all white fixtures with pastel choices in artwork and it also adorns brass faucets, showerhead etc as are the towel and toilet paper holders that are there as well, and we thought that we might add some additional pizzazz to the white Victorian pedestal sink with oval mirror/medicine cabinet above it and the white clapboard door free standing storage piece above the toilet.
Free is free and well you all know me.
And we do use their store quite often anyway for purchases.

From there we went over the bridge to River City AKA Punta Gorda to the Farmer’s Market there, it is every Saturday morning with many more items than fresh vegetables and fruits, beef and fish and handicrafts etc. and even some nice entertainment, a singing guitarist today, but it has been known to change.
We purchased fruits and veggies, $16 dollars worth in total, quite diverse, tomatoes, cukes, peaches, cherries, peppers, bananas, quite a haul I would say, and I just did. And we had even brought a cooler for the items, thought ahead, wow what a concept! For us that is… learning is a continuing process…you betcha!

From there we grabbed lunch with another $5 off coupon that Hubby received from our favorite Fishville restaurant when we were there for Father’s Day. He had baked scrod today and I had a lobster casserole and yes, there was lobster and shrimp and scallops in it, quite delish! Hubby had his standard, coffee, black with sugar and I had my unsweet iced tea with extra lemons! Two happy souls and since we felt it best to leave Skipper home due to the heat we ate inside in their air-conditioned seating at the Village Fish Market with a postcard panoramic view of the harbor from where we sat.
Hubby remembered that I still needed and had not found a nose clip for the pool, he had easily gotten my earplugs from Walgreen’s but they did not have the nosey ones.
And so we went into one of the Fisherman Village stores while there, called Beneath the Sea, how appropriate and sure enough, for a whooping $1.99, it was a sale; the nose plug that is!

From there, on the way home, we went over to Publix for odds and ends and some more good fruits which we found there and a better deal on blueberries and strawberries which were a dollar less than at the Farmer's Market, with also picking up necessities like milk and bread.

Dinner was soup and salad due to consuming that big lunch!

And so that was our day, how was yours… now don’t tell me, write it, I’ll wait…oops, it doesn’t work like that?

Oh well… maybe someday.

On that bit of silly, which is how everyday should end... that is with a smile… allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all our medals, no blessings but those too and don’t forget to share those overages this time I mean your blessings, although, if you got medals to spare, no, you won them fair and square… and we will too, that is share our overages of blessings, medals sadly I have none…BOO HOO!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS I lied, yesterday was a bit DESCRIPT, since I became a senior woman with my first social security check for arriving at my age earlier, not my disability…oh well…we all do what we have to…
