We're up, we're down, we tie... and away we all go!

The question was asked by one of my Facebook friends the other day, of how many of us, on Facebook are actually watching the Olympic competitions?

Many of the answers were negative or specific to what they do enjoy watching, sport-wise.

In reality, I had to admit that I have been negligent of observing and supporting our teams by my viewing pleasure, since I go more eclectic in that realm than staring at six hours of bicycle racing or some other such hours spent watching of this volleyball game or that. Actually, swimming is more to my liking, since it is more like a horse race, in speed, is what I am referring too. For someone like me, with a short attention span that is not too difficult to keep this gal engaged for not too long.
Sure my heart and feelings could be considered that they are there with all of our contenders, I’m not heartless after all!
For I don’t adopt every sad critter that needs a home that the shelters talk about in commercials on the TV, it wrenches my heart, but I don’t call and adopt, anymore…since hoarding is frowned upon by most realistic neighbors…
I care maybe too much for most underdogs, figuratively, as well as literarily!
Why when I heard via the news that Michael Phelps came in fourth in one of his competitions I got scared that he might not win his last three medals to be the all time winningest medal winner! Gosh, he has been able to recoup since then, two more silvers, so one more might very easily be his! At least now he has a fighting chance; Geez, so Hubby heard about his trial on the earlier news and passed it on to me.
The Olympics have been going on for years and years and the kids seem to all do well in the end with all sorts of deals in promotions of products.

No college for these kids they got it made in the shade!
Teaching a whole bunch of their fans that it is more important to compete in a sport than to learn the three R’s…KIDDING!
Those kids really know both, especially the losers, since no one will offer them any sponsorship…KIDDING AGAIN!

Gosh though, when you think about it, today, sadly, even college grads are having a hard time finding jobs…
Maybe they have the right idea…its called stick-to-it-ness!
Whatever one loves could be their future to make a living from, sounds good to me! I say go for it! But think about school too, who knows the times are, a changing…they always do!

On that little bit of irreverence of how to enjoy the XXX Olympics… Ya know that’s another thing I have a bit of knowledge of multiplications and if you multiply 30x4=120, and that would be in 1892.
The last time I checked, than how come the Olympics started in Greece way back when, need more info, hold on… in Greece they actually started in 776 B.C.
Then by my reasoning this is actually the 697th Olympics!

And you all know the way to find out more, so just Nike it, do I have to say it, oh well, you know me, I will: JUST DO IT!

On that bit of silliness, hip, hip hooray, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy goodnight and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Update: Michael Phelps wins all nineteen medals, most ever!
