Enough already with trying to be heard!

I get it that you all hear me and I was able to determine that from the nice responses I did receive.

And so tonight the discussion will take a turn to needing to know how these new helpful sites work.
I wanted to find a jewelry repair shop for my rings that Hubby had to cut off my fingers, i.e. my rings, not my fingers, ouch, and no, due to my fullness of me, being fat, and my thyroid issue I do believe played a small part in it…since I have been rather large for that last few years and it wasn’t until the thyroid issue that my fingers expanded, and voila, guess what, a symptom of Hypothyroidism!
But I miss them and I wanted to know if there was a legit jeweler locally that would give us a fair price for expansion purposes and not rob us blind.
In the old days I would have immediately called the Better Business Bureau, which we used to join when we too had our own businesses, but I thought I would modernize and try Angie’s List: www.AngiesList.com
Which I learned is not financed by the businesses but by the people using the information.
Logically, it does make more sense, since there is no conflict of interest there, hmm?
Just honest people commenting on how the business treated them in respect to a fair deal and honesty and anything else we as consumers could think of, and the pricing seems fair too and they have been around since 1995, who knew?
Okay, maybe you, but I didn’t.
This is what the fine young man on the other end of the line told me as far as pricing goes…$2.75 a month , and $25 a year or a lifetime membership for $450! I joked that wouldn’t be so long for us, being retirees!
Not bad, almost priced like the cost of information today on your landline, I bet… for one time only!
But with this concept you get a report stated whether the store is all those things you need to know to deal with them, not just the number and location.
Or like with the Better Business Bureau telling if they had any complaints against them, but I never gave it too much thought when we belonged to them, but it could be misconstrued paying a service to belong and them possibly having a fiduciary relationship with your business and then expecting them to be impartial towards the public, hmm?

And even so with all that I did not join, yet.
I will do a little more research for myself to be sure they have not had any complaints either.
If any of you have used them let me know how that went and would you recommend them?

Oh dear! I just did a quick search and the results were not good! I just put in the logical question: “Angie's List; any complaints?” And oops, boy was I surprised…now who knows if it is not just a competitor angry at them stealing their business, but that is for you to decide, not me…

Any-who, an old adage comes to mind that I seem to live by more than ever these days, “If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!”

On those words of caution allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
