Lost dog, pre registered and busy, busy, busy!

He has a microchip # 4A0147OC15 Home Again the toll free number to call is1-888-466-3242 Last seen corner of Weider and River Roads Montague, NJ 07827 He is prone to seizures and needs his daily Phenobarbital 2x daily, he is friendly.

Early this morning I began a large project for myself, although Hubby did most of the work.
It was putting simulated bead board around our bar divider from our kitchen to our living-room with brackets to make the counter top look as if it is actually being held up; silly, hmm?
Actually, finished off and done in the cottage style that is through- out our home. And not that expensive to do, since it is plywood sheeting that is not separate tongue and groove true bead board, but has the same affect; you decide…

And so although Hubby did the constructing; I did the painting and it was basically a white washing so as to allow for the wood grain to show through.
I did like the effect and Hubby does too, at first he had no idea of what I wanted or meant, and when I requested his help in the making sure that I didn’t miss too much of the wood, he actually put a heavy coat of paint on (by the way, we still had from our walls be painted years ago, ha!) And I explained to him that he was hiding the wood grain, and then as if a light went off, I saw the look of recognition come over his face, he got it that is what I thought was the correct affect, ‘whitewashing’!
Now, that terminology has gotten a bad rap over the years and has wandered far from its original origins…But yes, I do believe that in is humble, not meaning concealment or palliation of flaws or failures or a defeat in a game in which the loser scores no points so much in my realm of usage. For me, it was just that white-washing, as in a wooden fence, to let the grain shine through the paint, okay?
Although, it could have been due to the dear price of paint way back then and it was thinned with linseed oil or turpentine or lime to go further…more than likely.
How odd that something so cost efficient is now considered fashionable?
And in between me taping and painting I was helping or trying to help an old childhood friend find her dog…

And then…
Most of this afternoon, I was on the phone with the hospital, with the surgical nurse asking me my medical history and medications and surgeries etc. to be prepared for my procedure, next week!
And so for me it was a bit hectic and it felt good to be busy, busy, busy…and to be trying to help someone else besides myself for a change!
Who hasn’t felt more alive and useful when they realized that perhaps they could help another human being, hmm?
That’s what makes us volunteers, right? Right!

On that thought provoking note, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you all to count your blessings and to kindly share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
