Open Discussion

Allowing the door to be a wee bit ajar to talk about one of the so-called many taboo topics that ‘polite’ people are not supposed to discuss is rather eye opening.
I have this overwhelming desire to bring all faiths and beliefs together within the universe to make us keep all those promises that we all expound on in our houses of worship or our nightly prayers.
The truth is I am in fear of many not backing up what they truly want for us beings of this planet?
Do we really want peace on earth good will toward mankind or is it just polite lip service to others?
All of our wants in life would be that simpler if we just meant what we say.
Oh, that taboo topic is a discussion of religion.
No one wants to admit that they are all founded on the same reasoning’s of being good to each other.
In other words be decent.
This time on our planet is not a competition of whose religion is better than yours.
If we truly examine what is true and right with all of it, it has been that proof that as dissimilar as many would like to believe… it is not the truth, we are all much more alike than different.
We may call the deity we aspire to please by different names but what their teachings are all so much alike, it is uncanny!
One could almost say we are one. (Redundant but true)
And wouldn’t that be great; to really want the same things?
An overlap in written material is so wild too and the fact that most religious teachings begin with the Old Testament and go on to the new and on occasion beyond to others’ good books in all the many religions of the world if we open our hearts and minds, and that fascinates me.
Theology is an amazing study, which I am sure that many have tried out to know about more than just their own faith.
Understanding, is the way we can all become happier and healthier and more compatible, hmm?
I do believe in not putting down anyone who has a strong feeling for their faith.
My only problem is when someone might try to convert me to theirs that tells me that they think that theirs is superior or that mine is not as good or bad.
Respect is allowing others to believe what they feel in their own hearts to be true, and no one has the right to tell you that you are wrong.
And that is why I have on many occasions told people who blatantly spew righteous writings on my Facebook page; I bluntly state that I do not want any religious zealots writing on my page there, since most people feel that they too would do that and then we are no longer a social page but a mine is better than yours page, huh?
Now let’s dissect the word ‘zealot’, in its tamest version it is: a supporter, believer, enthusiast, devotee, aficionado, aficionada, member, but as a fanatic it can be over the top and as an advocate in my mind it is trying to be a converter, maybe?
And that is why I have my reasoning for non-promoting of religious material ala my home page, got that?
There are so many other venues like here.
That’s what blogs can be a way to express your personal opinion page, and I truly believe that we should all have one for our own free expression!
FREEDOM OF THE PRESS!
HOORAY!
And so in closing I invite all peoples of all faiths to leave a comment here that could be a positive message for this holiday season to all who may read this.
I bet you will be pleasantly surprised how many really care to be positive too!

On that miniscule suggestion of Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward all Men and Women, allow me to be the first to wish you a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly to count all your blessings and to share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
