Reading, writing and arithmatic...

Yes!
That is what my title is tonight.
Happily I have sort of joined the people of the reading realm.
I have been fortunate to have gotten, already, a copy from our library of Patricia Cornwell’s latest novel Red Mist.
It amazes me that some books you have to wait weeks sometimes months for but no sooner than I saw Ms. Cornwell discussing her newest on the View I tried to contact my own public library branch on line and hit a glitch!
And so I used ye ole landline and made a verbal request! And Hubby picked it up yesterday and I am slowly on my way through another great read… more challenging than I remember with more breaks needed, but I am pumped to reach the end! Nearly five hundred pages from beginning to end.
Crazy how some things still work.

PS I am still waiting On James W. Hall’s Dead Last latest and Sue Grafton’s V is for Vengeance too, both have been on my wants list with them for a couple of weeks now.
Patricia Cornwell’s Kay Scarpetta character series has had its movie rights sold since 2009 and the confirmed rumor is that Angelina Jolie with be playing her!
She seems a bit young for the forty something medical examiner/forensics specialist military/lawyer persona with her being a mere thirty-six, but I suppose that’s Hollywood.

Why when I used to cast local commercials on the other coast here in Florida, mother’s of eight year olds were portrayed by models of twenty-three, sure it’s possible but, really?
Everything is done with smoke and mirrors… why that’s why it’s called, LALA-land, I suspect, hmm?

That appears to cover my reading portion of my title and of course this is a part of my writing, TA DA!
Not only this but I am trying harder to be more involved with my Facebook buddies posts and responding to cute or clever emails…communication is important in all forms, true?
When home I take breaks from this as you must all do, although I bet most need to be here all day long for business purposes, huh?
But I don’t and so between doing mundane household tasks, watching the TV and reading my book, I check over here to see what’s up…it does fill my day…as you all can well imagine…hmm?

The arithmetic is the figuring I had done to check to see if our refund was subtracted from our credit card yet, oh our refund?
Oh that’s right I forgot to tell you… Hubby and I felt that the TVs were being acceptably functioning and so yesterday he returned our antenna only a few days after our initial purchase when we thought ours wasn’t working due to all those pros weighing in with their diagnoses!
Any-who, we have only two credit cards other than our debit that we use and since I was a credit manager years ago I have given us a budget to not go above monthly and that antenna put us a wee bit over.
You see, I make sure we never spend more than we can pay off at the end of the month, not the minimum, all of it! Of course we are approved for considerably more than my mental image of our most allowed for us not to get into any problems… but it is always there for any emergency if need be that our cash savings is totally depleted!
So arithmetic is done here fairly often.
I am so meticulous at making sure we have no financial difficulties and then something always seems to happen to screw it up!
That imaginary account I mentioned to all of you is what I do, do, I set some monies aside, and then for some reason something happens and we have to spend it… Murphy’s Law; at least for us it always seems.
Now you know why I want to be prepared.
I knew being in scouts first as a Brownie then as a Girl Scout would pay off! HA, but true.
My business background too helps even in these bum years as I have known to call these last several that I have not worked for money!
But the point is I do work, just not for any money, get that?
I suppose saving monies legitimately is a way to have positive income, hmm?

Now to me this is what we always thought of as the three ‘R s’, but as any of us can see if we are at all educated, even minimally, one can see that to be more accurate that it should be called what it really is and than we would have to say the ‘RWA’, oh I see, doesn’t roll off the lips as well… but by now I would think it would sound a bit illiterate to say the three ‘R s’, hmm?
SORRY!
That’s me all over the place, ruining fun with my own idea of logic. LOL!

On that you had to ask, oh no you didn’t, but if you did… allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
