Seventy years later...

Anyone that was here and I mean alive, seventy years ago on this date December 7.1941 remember where they were then; when we formally entered WW11…The bombing of Pearl Harbor Hawaii!
Just like all the other major stories that us post WWII kids know about where we’re then for The Bay of Pigs scare of war and total inhalation, or for the JF Kennedy, Bobbie Kennedy’s or Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassinations. And adding into it the entire our major one of this century, of course, 9-11!
My parents told me they were at their friends engagement party on this date seventy years ago, being they were the ‘newlyweds’ having had their ‘Big Day’ on March 9th earlier that year too.
Shock and anxiety overtakes us all during these historic moments, and a crazy unreality wants us to believe the unbelievable.
But our minds don’t want to have it to be true.

FDR spoke of this day then as being one that will live in infamy and it has, and sadly it was one of many more that just seem to start all the others of similar infamous memories to us all of that last century.
But we have always had horrendous happenings and that is why history never ends; and has always been life changing. WWII was one of our last wars that we were proud to say that we had actually won.
Many since have been stalemates more so or not declared wars with iffy outcomes… and they continue on and on…since time immemorial it is our MOs on this planet.

Moving on…
Last night was my first night of using the new eye medication and I misspoke about what it actually is; it is erythromycin optical in a salve, not an eye drop being in liquid form.
That it is applied at bedtime to your lower lid of your eye a quarter inch’s worth on both eyes, where else, no other lower lids on my body, any on yours? LOL!
Any-who, I found out why it is to be applied at bedtime… would you be interested in knowing too?
I can’t hear you!
That’s OK I will tell you anyway… because as a salve it’s like putting Vaseline on your eyeballs!
Yep, if you want to know what my legally blind right eye sees I recommend it highly for that is the effect it gave to my left eye, you see, (interesting choice of words, ha!) now I am assuming it also did it to my right eye but to tell you the truth it was the same view as always, ha, like looking through Vaseline!
Now the assumption must be that once in bed you never ever get up, hmm…if still alive most of us do… no one does… not get out of bed? Come on, we all know that we all have to!
The trick last night and now for six more… yep, that’s the prescription recommendation a total of seven days with three refills if need be! OH NO!
And so now after bedtime I get to experience one of my least favorite of my fears, the fear of going totally legally blind, very scary!

On those gamut of thoughts in all directions allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and kindly share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
