Enough about me, how about you?

Whoa!
This is my blog and I’ve gotta right to say whatever I want! LOL!
Any-who, if I wrote about you, you my friends just might sue me!
Nah, I know you won’t.

Moving on…
Last night was not much different than the previous nights… Now I sound like a Passover question, “why is this night different than all the other nights?”
But I digress…

The night was again a rough one, for sleeping that is.
My head ‘again’ was not cooperating with my extremely strong desire to snooze!
And so I got up with all that pain I thought, maybe the doc at HD, health department, was not too far off with his idea that it could all be allergy related?
After all, I used to be allergy related to many things; my headaches that is, along with my sinusitis or ALLERGIC RHITINITIS!
And so when that realization took a hold of my tiny brain I said, “AHA!”
I seem to recall purchasing some Benedryl a while ago for our canine companion, Skipper via the vets instructions for his skin irritation and his dosage, at a whopping, fifteen to eighteen pounds was half a tablet!
We also used to use it for fire ant bites, bee stings, poison ivy itch and just about any allergy related thingy you could think of and its sold over the counter, no prescription needed and so that makes it apparently fairly safe!
And so at four-forty A.M. in my agony this brainstorm of mine took hold and I scavenged through our hall linen closet that on its not too top shelves also contains soaps shampoos and doggy medication and the like…
And sure enough it was there!
I needed a pairing knife to get the seal open on that little metallic plastic wrapper thing, but when I did I put into my mouth as if it were the answer to my dreams/nightmare…and would cure the big ‘C’ or whatever ails the worlds today and I was chosen for the experiment!
And of course I washed it down with liquid, and waited…within minutes I got back into bed, laid down and hoped for the best.
The next thing I knew there was sunlight peeking out between my faux wood 2” white washed blinds, and it was nearly eight A.M., it had apparently worked!

Once up for the day, I warmed up the ole computer here and did some research.
Had to know if it would be agreeable with my other meds, I know that sounds backwards since I already took it, but you do what you gotta do when you gotta do it…hmm?
My medications were not on any lists that I could find and I did specifically search drug interaction with it.
This evening though I think I found out that my Dexilant might not be alright with it, and so I did not take it.
Hopefully, I won’t need it too much until this sinus issue clears up...
The directions say I can take it every four to six hours, but being over sixty, it said no more than six doses in a twenty-four hour period, and so I will spread the doses out longer so I have my last one at bedtime and no more than four a day, TA DA!
The first one that I read said no acetaminophen which is Tylenol or alcoholic beverages. I said that’s fine I take one aspirin in the morning for my heart.
But tonight I read on one of the info things that aspirin too was a no, no; confusing, although I did take my one lonely aspirin this morning without knowing that and I am still here!

End of an era, sadly I have gotten so big that Hubby had to cut my engagement ring off of me; my knuckle was so swollen I could not get it off, but my wedding ring finally did come off before it met the same fate.
My finger is so indented it is a cruel reminder now of how awfully fat I am, since I never ever look in a full length mirror anymore…since it just depresses me more. And it is not like I will be joining a gym ever again since sweating exacerbates my Multiple Sclerosis, and my diet is more healthy than most since I eat raw veggies and fruit lean meats, mostly chicken and fish and very little carbs like bread and potatoes. NO fast food restaurants and no chips and dips, my downfall is pickles, jalapeƱos and olives though…
We buy low fat or fat free dairy, when we buy dairy.
So it baffles me quite a bit, but as we all know medications do have an effect of slowing down the metabolism and that is my only logical explanation; and mine is sloth-like…
I have never been this fat even when pregnant and that weight I always lost in six weeks by walking; which now I can’t do.
SORRY!

Back to the jokes, yep its all about the jokes in life isn’t it?
Here’s one for you…
I forgot to tell you when I nearly cut off my thumb a while back and we couldn’t stop the bleeding and ended up going to the hospital. The nurse that saw me asked me if I needed pain medication. I said no, and she said good because some people actually do what I did to use it as an excuse to get some, and again she said we DON’T give out any!
I said it doesn’t work on me so I do Lamaze or use a pinpoint on the wall and try to concentrate, and when given strong pain meds not too long ago and so I figured I would try it again, but after one I returned them to the pharmacy!
Boy, have times changed.
And that doctor that I spoke with yesterday for an online interview to maybe become his patient, asked me that too, “Do you need pain medication?” I said no again, and his response was similar to that hospital nurse… I suppose this is all not too funny, but more than sad that they mistook me for a drug user! Now that’s funny! Since I am in so many ways with all my medically prescribed ones by oddly enough doctors and nurses… and the beat goes on…

Lastly, my heart goes out to the ‘Andy Rooney’ family, what a guy, a man who kept us all on our toes and with laughter our best medicine with his unique way of looking at the world and all its confounded products in it… Mr. R, you will most definitely be sorely missed by all of us in this world!

Allow me to be the first to wish you all to have a very happy good night and to ask you kindly to count all your blessings and to share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS just in: spoke with Walgreen's 24 hour pharmacy’s pharmacist and aspirin, Dexilant and Benedryl are all compatible! No problemo! YEA!
