Snow on the pumkins to our way up north, but here a cold-front came through...

BRRRR, chilly!
Here we started our day out with temperatures hovering around the mid- seventies, degrees, and that is Fahrenheit folks!
To us Floridians, in October that is cooler than we usually get here and that we are used to.
By now, though, our temps are usually in the mid-eighties during the day and about sixties at night, perfection! And that will be returning, so I have been told. And if you like that we also have a similar weather clone in March as well…
Although, I must admit the drizzle has returned with a dull dreariness in our skies, but other than that, who could really complain, huh?
After all this IS paradise!
And this too will pass…

Trying to get a handle on the idea that in my old stomping ground of dear sweet ole New Jersey that they had a mega snow storm this weekend with nearly an unheard of over a foot of that beautiful Currier and Ives cards white fluffy cold stuff that is until the removal trucks and animals change its prettiness to yellow and brown; reality check, I give it until tomorrow, what do you say? Thus the snows on those pumpkins that I understand were few and far between due to the unfortunate visit of Hurricane Irene causing the crop to be not what it usually is, bumper… so sad, and I am so sorry for all our northern neighbors dealing with it all, and don’t any of you forget the EARTHQUAKE that they also had in their area too!
Whoa, talk about a trifecta!
All bets are off there, I am more than sure.

I can remember not too long ago when those same people could not understand why anyone would want to live in hurricane country, meaning the Gulf coast states, hmm?
Geez!
Is there no where to be safe anymore?

Sure, these things are all flukes, at least we all hope so… and when you get down to it that’s all we got, hmm?
Oh what’s that you ask; I know I can’t hear you but I bet you thought to ask it if I could hear you, hmm?
Any-who, that would be ‘hope’ friends, that’s all most of us got these days…but that’s good and better than nothing!

Our ninety-nine per-centers seem to be hanging in there in spite of it all, weather, and finding out that they are not having much support from the local officials, government and police officers. It seems even some promises for insurances to be paid locally by the NAACP they found their hands were tied due to national not wanting to commit…But we all know that cops and minorities too are included in that 99%, how odd, no brotherhood there.
Let’s face it they answer also to a higher power… their bosses too, but they are suppose to serve and protect all of us those law enforcement officers, I thought, hmm?

My heart goes out to their cause and if it were another time and I was in better health, who knows I might be out there on the frontlines with them for moral support! I did do it back in the sixties and seventies when I felt the urge to be heard on those topics that fired us all up!

That’s not to say what I do now is not an extension of that desire, absolutely!
Albeit, at times much tamer than those days that I recall with a little faster beat of my heart with the excitement of doing something that important and anticipating a really great outcome!
Not naïve, but consistent and in the end we were heard, if you too recall.
And so my advice, which is if you want it, as it is free like everything else I give out here… is to never ever give up in whatever you believe in… that’s all, and perhaps things may change, not today, not tomorrow, but someday!

On that commonality for us all of wanting to change what we care about for the better …allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and to share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
