Just call us lucky living here in paradise!
We bit the bullet once more… and boy did we score.
Gingerly the rain has come in to bathe our floras with their possibly last hoorah of this wet season, called the hurricane one.
I do realize we have another month left; after all I am an old timer here in Florida and have been through twenty-five of these things.
We have other things to consider now; like this is the ghoulish time of the year and we love it!
Decorations aren’t what they once were… we are more conservative with just a door hanging sign of ghouls stating, ‘Happy Halloween!’
Inside we have a scull and a couple of artificial but realistic looking pumpkins, gourds too, after all it is harvest time as well, hmm? In the day, we had a lawn full of tombstones with silly commentaries on them, those were the days!
Hubby went to the store for candies, already sold as twofers; for all the little ones that should grace our door-way this Monday afternoon and evening.
How I used to enjoy making costumes for our sons when they were small, from Robin Hood to scarecrows to robots et al.
So much joy in those days…it goes way too fast…
How I miss it.
Two nights ago I had that horrid sinus problem that is with me still but lessened.
I forgot to mention my neck and ears were involved in the discomfort too.
Hubby and I do believe we have a handle on it, but may take awhile for it to work.
Years ago, I found I had many food allergies, thus my allergic migraines.
At the time I went to an allergy doctor who gave me desensitizing shots for a period of six months and I appeared to have been cured! I had those little stick tests too, and it came back at the time that I was allergic to everything but tobacco/smoke and pets.
But that was thirty-three years ago.
And guess what?
I think that they are back… who knows…
Salicylate sensitivity symptoms are well documented and here is a site to validate my theory: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salicylate_sensitivity
And sinusitis is a symptom, and we also noticed that wine, white more so than red has quite a bit, and so I guess you can say I am allergic to it?
But many other foods have it too.
It will be fun trying to narrow it down.
But it could be the diet that I needed!
All those years ago I was my thin self, about one hundred pounds soaking wet.
Who knows it could be a wee bit unorthodox for nutritionists or diet mavens but this could be my answer?
I can take many things out of my dietary consumption and then work my way back, hmm?
We don’t eat fast foods or packaged foods most all we eat are either fresh or frozen, both supposed to be in the okay preferred varieties.
Odors also set me off and I have a dilemma with them, which I won’t go into.
Well, as I play detective with this newest need to know, why my health is at stake; and I do have too many other problems to not try to control this one, huh?
And so I will put on my thinking cap and see what’s what.
It may take time, but I have a lot of that too, hmm?
On that hopeful thought of that new project of mine, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and to share all your overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.
