When all was said and done...

The storm left a few with documented, yes by professionals that tell by examining the mess of tornado’s wrath/wreckage left behind. And flooding too in some areas as well, determined by the depth of the water over roadways and lawns that usually are not in that condition and yes, the naked eye is responsible for determining that, but thankfully no deaths or even injuries have been reported i.e. as far as I know by this writing.
Oh where, you ask?
Here is where, in Glades and Broward Counties of Florida for the tornadoes and flooding here and there sporadically in low lying areas throughout the tri-county area meaning Charlotte, Lee and Collier Counties; here also in Florida.

In other news: Zanesville, Ohio a small backwater town apparently with little previous fanfare is getting some awful notoriety due to a man keeping exotic animals, which he was arrested for not caring for and also on weapons charges in the recent past, Terry Thompson, owner of Muskingum County Animal Farm.
In fact he had been incarcerated for a year and just released three weeks prior to last night.
He also appeared to be having marital problems and so he decided to set his pets/exotics free and take his own life after.
Approximately forty-eight animals had to be destroyed since they, sheriff’s office of the county felt human life should be considered threatened by the beasts that ranged from tigers, lions and bears, wolves, monkeys, giraffes and the like…a few are still being rounded up at this writing and schools and businesses were all under lockdown for last night and today.

Most blame the state of Ohio’s lax rules on allowing the keeping of such animals with little or no restrictions.
Oh, I don’t know about that, but why would a criminal be allowed to keep such animals with his history of cruelty to them?
To me it is a no brainer when Thompson was told the first time and found guilty I blame the local authorities for not stopping the whole thing then, is it just me?
Perhaps, last night and today’s horror of killing innocent animals and the need to protect an entire community may never have occurred, hmm?

Ah, life and its justifiable concerns for us and how and where we live it…
But to my, thrilling knowledge of acclaim our area made the top ten, and this time for a good thing…
As one of the top ten best places to retire to, how about that?
Neat, huh?
We received the distinction for having homes; being on the cheap for on being a waterfront community, salt water canals i.e.… maybe they didn’t say cheap, perhaps it was that they actually said reasonable? Who knows…?
That’s a very nice thing either way.
Even our block seems to be getting more action with a new lot that became vacant for the Charley (hurricane) home finally being demolished and taken away just last week, leaving another valuable/cheap/reasonable waterfront property for sale.

They were saying cheap but the empty lot next door to us went for $112,000 in 2005 and I have no idea what that new lot’s asking price is. I suppose to some that is cheap for only 125’X 75’ lot, but to me that doesn’t qualify as that cheap? Hope they don’t build a Mc Mansion… as they call them… they make us little guys taxes go way up and usually they are multi storied to accommodate the small lot with enough square footage for the newbies, which makes them able to see into our private fenced back yard and if I eventually go out into our pool they will see my way too voluptuous body! Not a pretty picture!
(Perspective again, I suspect.)

Also the homes on our block for sale seem to be getting some action too, it appeared that there was an open house with quite a turnout there which spawns interest in the other ones for sale too; whatever works, I say!

On my more than active reporting items or an eclectic variety, may I say for your perusing desires, of course, because that’s the kind a gal I am… allow me also to be the first to wish you to have a very happy good night and to ask you kindly to count all your blessings and to share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
