How?

Out of frustration, when, would be a better question.
I have a brilliant acquaintance, which used to belong to MENSA, which has put up on our local city wall on Facebook poignant messages about things we all care about.
And today was no different.
She felt that we as a world community put more emphasis on the death of Steve Jobs than the deaths of millions of people a year due to famine and other unspeakable happenings worldwide.
Good for her, I say.
But in my opinion her analogy of our human concern was a bit skewed.
You see, amazing people who have made an individual mark on the world are a rare commodity, while, sadly, in comparison deaths from famine and horrendous (Holocaust in nature) other means beat at our hearts and souls daily and have been part of history horrifically forever!
And no, no child or woman or man who has died by no fault of their own is never ever been forgotten by any of us who truly care which we could be counted by the multitude in numbers my dear Facebook buddy.
We are a world, who by now, and in this generation can be blamed for many things, but not for not caring for our other human beings is a questionable presumptuous blanket statement.
To me it was an insult of how we all feel in the larger world picture.
Although, most of us are overwhelmed with the massiveness of the undertaking to solve this unjust ghastly appalling reality of our world’s inequities we as a people care and do as much as we as individuals are capable of by aid of donations or advocacy on bills that will provide people to physically go there to help if we are not able to.
And we support private organizations by joining them or donating to them etc.
Most of the poorest of Americans seem to be able to relate the best to their plight and find that we can help in some way…After all ‘there by the grace of God… goes I’…
Same with many other injustices in this world of housing, food and medical care and prescriptions not being an absolute of having and that is happening right here in our US of A!
None of us are so heartless not to want to do something!
Only thing is that we do what we can, when we can…
Methodology of helping is vast and complex in some cases.
Any person with a heart knows that to do something is better than doing nothing, and that is why I have faith in us as a world.
My Dad (b.1907-d.1986) had faith in humankind and that was the legacy he left to me, to feel that too!
Hate has no place in humanity, care and helping and loving one another and acceptance is what we have to do, and many are.

Please dear friend feel better about the world and know what you feel we do too and that it is a massive undertaking but no one on this planet of man/woman does NOT care it is a slow difficult thing to accomplish that’s all… and all any of us can do is try.

On that note of being overwhelmed with this and so many other enormities in life allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly to count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
