If you were paid to do something you love that might be considered a hobby would you still love it?

Some may suggest that it is a stupid question for most, right?
I don’t know about you, but I would!
I can hear all of you yelling …ME TOO!

Let’s face it our dream job would be that sort of thing doing what you love and even getting reimbursed…Whoa, that’s definitely a no brainer!

Have you ever thought if you had that option what YOU would LOVE to be paid to do?
Get your mind out of the gutter! LOL!
Other than what comes naturally to most ADULTS of age even the younger ones who should really wait. No, what I mean is a talent or ability, and no, I do not consider what you are thinking a talent or ability, more like a normal human nature urge or itch to be scratched…but I digress…
Any-who, what we all should do if not in the employment of yourself or others is to come up with a list of ‘what ifs that I could do well and get paid for things that you know someone out in the real world might need.’
And then like a barter system for other services contact people you know that may know someone else who knows someone that could make use of that!
Too confusing?

We all have skills, whether it is organizational, or perhaps an exact ability to make or create something or maybe to talk or write or how you handle people or whatever is marketable… don’t laugh; some very profitable businesses could use you and for what some may consider not so obvious skills but quite useful!
Resumes are mostly too specific, with previous jobs and education, but not discussing you and how you roll (take on the world), without enough gray areas enclosed.
We as humans have knowledgeable competence in certain arenas that we need to project into the public scheme of things and with that allowing others to utilize our talents for their needs. Let’s face it, if we don’t tell them, how will they know? So go ahead and brag a little!
And EUREKA then you may very well find yourself to be employed before you know it!

Personally when I hired people I always asked the obvious why they wanted to work for us and what they had to offer our particular business from their own abilities and previous experience.
Many were not prepared for that sort of question, but I must add try to be open minded at an interview, and unlike me, think before you talk!
But not too long since occasionally, in some fields, a slow response is not so desirable when you’re expected to think quickly on your feet!
Crazy, yep, I know, or I should say I do remember.
Be well rested and well dressed appropriately for the type of position you go for.
Different fields require different wardrobes.
Offices, business smart.
Stores, fashion savvy.
Advertising or promotion, slick and casual but also fashion savvy.
And so whatever and wherever you go try and find some info on the company by Googling or surfing the net however you usually do to get that info and learn what you can and bring it up when appropriate at the interview. They will be impressed that you went the extra mile to find out about them, plus you will know how solvent they are and if they are legit…in this day and age one can not be too careful, can we?

In closing all I would like to say the president is about to give his speech tonight on jobs (PLEASE GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE!) and all of you out there still looking I wish the very best of luck in finding what you need to survive and love what you do and get financially reimbursed for that joy of being useful for profit! Get your mind out of the gutter!

On that silly note of just trying to do my part to help lessen the weight of the world on your shoulders by becoming a wee bit lighter allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you kindly to count all your blessings and to share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
