Re-connecting with old chums on a land line what fun!

Nice to hear breathing and actual voices coming through a land line!
Two old friends and yes numerically we are older too, but people, gals that I hadn’t heard from by voice box vibrations in ages, they spoke to me on their old gadgets too.
Sure we had been doing the email and Facebook communication thingy but there is nothing better than hearing those melodic tones called sound sensations, right? Especially, before we could very well lose them, hearing that is.
And so we spoke even separately to each woman, how odd you say?
Nah, historically correct!
It was a joyous occasion in the realm of promising to make a physical date to seeing each other in person!
I know vague but at least we touchstone, as they say!

Moving on…
Our next door neighbor is getting their seawall repaired properly finally.
Does that sound condescending to you?
Well, let’s put it this way we have been in this little retirement home of ours for nearly twelve years this coming December it will be and the house next door has had several absentee owners using it mostly for rental property with approximately twelve different families infiltrating over the years, and so although their seawall has been falling apart they kept spending money on patch work jobs.
But this newest owner, who lives in Chicago and said he eventually, will be retiring here called in an actual seawall company to tear the old wall down and put in a brand new one!
And so the work has begun.
At eight A.M. this morning the heavy trucks were here.
No problemo for me since I am an early riser.
And I am soooo happy that it is finally getting done I don’t care how early they come or how much noise they make!
Any improvements to our neighborhood are always a plus in my book.
I just wish we had more neighbors we still have too many empty homes.

Any-who…
Did you see Dancing with the Stars last night?
You did.
Weren’t you surprised that Florence Henderson was sent home instead of Bristol Palin?
Come on people…who was the better dancer here?
Something is a wee bit scary about all this.
Not to say that someone bought votes or anything of the sort, but I would think that Mrs. Brady would have a bigger fan base than a wannabes vice presidential candidate’s daughter? Wouldn’t you?
Bristol is a fine young single parent.
But that is not what this show is all about …at least I thought it was about dance ability, true?
I wish they had a write in campaign to fix their mistakes, oh well…
Florence, if I had the power you definitely would NOT have been dismissed last night!
You were showing so much potential!
A woman of your abilities and background in musicals should have gone as far as the end! You are super lady and don’t you ever forget it!

Today, was a day for peeking out the windows trying to get a clear cut look at what they were accomplishing on the next-door seawall project, but our angle is wrong and I am still locked within here due to our very warm climate a good part of the day.
My excitement was watching the big equipment roll off the truck to go through the gates to get back there where the work is being done.
But my line of sight is compromised by angle, shrubbery and their vehicle carrying it all, the wall that is, enormous cement preformed sections that are hauled by trailer to the location.
Gosh, am I nosey or what?
But aren’t most shut-ins?
No, just a neighborhood watch gal!

On that silly note of a truly interested party to the goings on in our area…happy night to all and to all count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time be here or be square, OK?
