Holy Cow!

So my dear Facebook friend also from New Jersey has been known to say.
Personally, I can’t remember the last time I said it…oh yea…just now! LOL!
My reasoning is because of the fact that when we went to that Home Show last week I filled out one of those raffle tickets for a free trip.
And we won!
Well sort of…
First we had to go to a seminar of sorts and listen intently for ninety minutes to a spiel about joining this fantastic travel club, The Leisure Group, American Travel Partners, Inc. who’s been around since 1981 and offers these memberships for only eight thousand dollars and for only ten years total time and once joined then we will save incredible amounts of monies on our vacations each year up to four thousand dollars a year which means in two years it pays for itself, not including a $199 yearly reapplication fee…
Hmmm… sounds great to someone who travels that much to exotic places and has the stamina not to think about the how what when or why of each trip they so desire.
Actually to anyone who has that kind of money to splurge without other financial issues in their way like emergency appliances breaking and medical issues a car that is doing OK but is way up in age, being a 2001, but with less than 35000 miles on it!
I suppose we were a wee bit out of our league.
But to be fair we did win the ability to go on a cruise for three to seven days or to stay at a hotel for seven days or air faire round trip for two adults to Las Vegas, Washington D.C. ,San Diego or Anaheim, California with two night’s accommodations, taxes not included either.
But there are a few slight hitches, taxes are not included for the cruises either, which each can be a few hundred per person, and a refundable deposit is needed for reservations which is $100.
Sometimes don’t you wish that you had just a few extra bucks to blow on whatever your heart desires…?
Too bad I am such a worry wart about paying bills or this could be wonderful!
Since we do have a big anniversary coming up in a few months, the fortieth!
I was hopeful that we could find one of the combinations that would work for us… and we may still… who knows!
We have a while to decide.
The seven night hotel stay sounds as if it could be the most feasible…
Feedback would be great.

We did get to go after the seminar sales pitch adjacent to the parking lot of the motel to a restaurant chain’s offering, The Cracker Barrel. They now have healthy selections not just 'comfort food', I had broiled trout and three sides of vegetables too! Hubby had meatloaf with extra gravy! Pure comfort food with mashed potatoes included. The meeting for the travel club was at an off the highway motel called Sleep Inn, oddly enough not a part of their offers in their club.
Theirs are upper echelon style hotels and resorts of the five start quality.
Also while there I came up with an idea that I had thrown to the back of my brain under the heading wouldn’t it be nice… If I could be a ‘Travel Blogger’ that wrote about her travels with utilizing special services available for the physically challenged as well as with our darling little fifteen pounder, Bichon Frise, Skipper! And how that all goes in real time for an enjoyable life in spite of the trials and tribulations of dealing with Multiple Sclerosis and other medical issues and not leaving darling doggy at home either. With Hubby’s help it could be quite a wonderful way to let others know that they could get out again into the world as we see it and know that others would be willing to make it so much easier. I do believe there is a market for this, anyone listening?

And lastly to my other lovely friend in New Zealand that just had a birthday today in our hemisphere but yesterday in hers said she may be coming to visit me!
Her business is doing fantastic which is always wonderful to hear but for her new one that she has been putting so much effort into it is absolutely excellent news!
And so I will say to her and in front of everyone, congratulations!

On this night of slight pleasant exhaustion I will wish you all very happy good night and to everyone count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time be here or be square, OK?
