Labor Day!

Most would ask since we are both retired why would we put any importance on a day meant for all laborers to take a break from work!
But in spite of that we had a pleasant day.
We relaxed although Hubby did trim the bougainvilleas, his idea, not mine!
I took some silly tests on my Facebook page and found out that I was Einstein in a previous life and have the inner self of a dog and a lovable personality, aint half bad, huh?
Breakfast was simple cereal, me oatmeal and Hubby, Cheerios. Lunch was leftovers but dinner was a typical holiday fair of hot dogs and hamburgers but the leaner healthier choice, salads also homemade were low fat and had heart smart substitutions, but delish just the same!
You see folks you can still have your cake and eat it too.
Tonight is wine night we decided it should be every other, until they clear up if it is or isn’t good for our aging tickers.
We do alternate with low fat ice cream.
Come on you gotta have some fun!

Entertainment was rather sketchy since we weren’t interested in the sports offered and nothing was going on in town at least nothing was in the paper or at our event center, and the cultural center was closed too!
The heat made me house bound once again and so old faithful was the entertainment of choice, the MDA Telethon.
And it did not disappoint its entertainment is first rate oh maybe second in some cases because it does have a lot of old timers on there.

The rain started to come down around our dinner time, just in time for our barbecue, but Hubby completed his efforts before the major storm blew in!
Right now it is pouring buckets!
The only problem now is getting the flag in before dark.

The storm is very noisy and so I may be calling this short, you know me it makes me nervous all that thunder and lightening.

In fact I will be now wishing you all a very happy night and to all count those blessings and we will too!

PS: I have to apologize to an old friend who I accused as being my tormentor as a child, he was not it was another boy who we both remembered as being very mean. This all goes back to my ‘what’s in a name?’ Story of about a week ago!
