What a difference a day makes...

Did you ever notice that when someone doesn’t have real problems or let’s say pending immediate problems they seem to make mountains out of molehills?
Boredom can do that.

Yesterday, was a frustrating day since a bug got into my head that I needed to have shade over our pool to protect my compromised skin with it having Keratosis and I was fearful if I couldn’t find a way to do that, that my only option for exercise would not be able to be accomplished.
Well, this morning I was back in the pool with Hubby’s oversized long-sleeved all cotton T-shirt, which protected my shoulders and me from my rubbing hat as well; zinc oxide was applied to my nose, far head and cheeks(facial ones that is, LOL). And with all that I was able to stay in the pool for my fulltime of my ROM exercise program!

But still Hubby is making a stand for our lone umbrella that’s usually located in the table down on our dock, it's too hot to sit there this time of year plus too windy, and so why not relocate it to where it will do some good. It is a seven foot beige one with a bend ability that is what we had searched for, even where we originally purchased they were out of them yesterday. I knew you were all wondering why we didn’t go back there, but we had. The season is over so they said …but we are in Florida! Oh well…
And so this new project was a coordinated effort of both Hubby’s and mine.
He thought the umbrella would fit the bill and I came up with the proper mold to make the stand, my herb garden pot, which is urn-shaped. My herbs were so root bound Hubby was able to lift them out in one foul swoop and relocate them temporarily in another terra cotta large pot.

The shape of the urn is quite appealing, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye and just the right size for balance.
I had seen on one of the home shows how if you spray the pot will oil it helps to dislodge the cement after, and the mold will be saved; in this case back as an herb garden I do hope. Hubby had one bag left of cement from the sea wall repair job, so the cost was zip for the entire project!
Now I ask you; is that not a fine example of what sleeping on a problem can do?

I started this Blog with accusing myself and perhaps my readership of not having real problems, well that is not true.
We all know that our problems are quite real and some very serious, but you know something sometimes silly little ones, like yesterdays makes us forget for a while and that can’t be bad, or can it?
Nah, it is a good thing!
Putting things into perspective is what life is all about.
Vacations of the mind are just as valuable as physically taking them, don’t you think?
That’s why most of us enjoy reading… because it allows our imaginations to take that rare opportunity to go anywhere in the world, do things we only could dream of, and be everything from every walk of life’s professions, but all from our safe sanctuaries, our homes.
Let’s face it; books are great vacations for our minds!

And so on that pleasing visualization of travel in your brains I will bid you all a very happy story to read or scary one, or exciting place to go to, you get the idea, and also I will wish you all a very happy night and tell you to please count those blessings and we will too!
