Doing something is better than doing nothing?

That title could be considered provocative in so many ways of its interpretation, don’t you think?

But as you all know I am simpler than that.
And besides in this particular case I am referring to going out into the world just to get out of the house, and we left shortly after ten A.M.
And today we did accomplish that straightforward task.

Although we also had a few errands to attend to as well, the check for the overage in our escrow account arrived yesterday and so we deposited that on our way out to the Home and Garden show at our local event’s center in River City AKA, Punta Gorda, translation Fat Point.
A short trek, over the bridge and around the corner actually.

All the usual suspects were involved; everyone from roof systems to windows to doors and every house part you could possibly think of in between were there to show and hopefully sell you their beloved products.
You would have every whim or desire fulfilled since they were represented and realized as well, since even the non essentials such as swimming pools, spas, and other non absolute necessarily needed extras. Although here in Florida expect those items to be a part of the complete home package and helpful in any possible resale’s.

We spent about an hour there and left to go on to Fishville AKA Fisherman’s Village, to see if they were having anything going on, they were not. The next big thing there will be an Art Show at the end of the month; we will more than likely go to that too.

We did go once around the whole place and noticed some new shops and stopped for lunch at the Italian restaurant there, but neither of us had Italian food. Hubby had a cheese steak, and I had a tuna sandwich and a cup of their soup. I did find mine tasty, but Hubby did not, and the service was not that great either; we had quite a long wait for those items.

Any-who from there we headed home but had four more stops on the way, for gas, for two grocery items, Hubby stopped at our local discount liquor, and the last was the convenience store on our corner, we were home before two P.M., wild ones as we are!

Now here’s for another interpretation of that title I blatantly exposed to the world this evening… Let’s think what other possibilities this doing something instead of doing nothing could actually mean in the broader spectrum of potential meanings…

Volunteering to help anyone or anything that appears to have major needs in the world, donating monies even in small amounts is better than just complaining that no one else seems to get it right. Getting involved in local government to change things for the betterment of you and yours as well as the bigger picture of the community in which you all live, therefore again coming back to you anyway!

Realizing commonalties within your own small world when we hear the desperation of others, and with that being able to relate and express compassion and a unique understanding from personal experience.
I’m done, thinking hard hurts! LOL

Thoughts to ponder, and hopefully act upon, on that persuasive note I will wish you all a good night, take care and count those blessings and we will too!
