In search of an appropriate blouse, and most of our crop...

When my surgery was scheduled last Thursday for tomorrow they requested that I wear a button down blouse so that they could hook up a heart monitor to me during surgery, for my eye!

Well, they will be giving me anesthesia but not the knock you out cold kind; the twilight sleep kind, and some people could possibly have an odd or violent reaction. I believe it may very well be similar to the type I had when I had my basilar thumb arthritis joint replacement surgery back in August 2001, and I did react when I got home with a case of vicious vomiting, not that good a feeling, believe me! And so when they called earlier today about tomorrow I mentioned that and now they will be putting stomach medication in the IV, great!

PS With general anesthesia I am just ducky with no problems at all! This will be my fourteenth surgery! I am a pro, and in a way happy to be over that superstitious ‘13’, answer to all medicos question, “how many surgeries have you had?” Now I will be able to say, just the number ‘fourteen’.

Back to the blouse; the reason we had to go for a search for it is because at this enormous size clothes shopping has become more of a burden than a joy, which is what it was when I was a thin clothes horse. And I did check and no, I did not have any button down blouses that fit or were suitable for tomorrow’s criteria.
And so we went over to Bealls Outlet, Monday is the 15% off for fifty and over crowd and my punch card was also complete for an additional 20% off too!
So Hubby found a pair of jeans, and I found black sweat pants for 70% off at $3.90, not counting the additional discounts at the register, my ordered ones had not yet arrived and it is still so cold, and an adorable eggplant colored button down blouse with three quarter length sleeves. A multi colorful stone jewelry set with matching necklace and earrings and purple in its palette was the perfect Nuevo look I have seen all over the arts and crafts fairs, but at a much better price and it screamed at me at the register. With nearly twelve bucks off the whole shebang was only $28.29; what a deal!

Oddly enough when we got home the blouse didn’t fit, and so after lunch we exchanged it for one that did, and when we got back from that my other ordered pants had arrived! No one can have too many black pants; can one?

Sadly, with this horrid cold it may be that our veggie garden, in spite of all Hubby’s gallant efforts to save it, it may be a total loss! Only time will tell for sure, we both hope not!

Good night to all and please stay warm and hug your loved ones tight, body heat, you know? But really, keep close, and heat will expound!
Count those blessings and we will too!
