It's not that easy being green...

It’s not that easy being green...

Unless you go solar, recycle, compost, and use rain barrels.
Hey, we do all that!
We even bring our canvas bags to the grocery!
And don’t drive unnecessarily.
And even with all that we went to the ‘Green Futures Expo’, at our convention center way down the road a piece to River City, AKA Punta Gorda.
Did we learn anything new, yes!
We learned that we are pretty darn savvy on the topic of green.
But it’s always nice to see if we are still educable.
And I am proud to announce, yes we can and are!
Definitely with all the paper literature we came home with and pens that were all made of recycled materials or least that was what we were told. We have pens made of corn and cardboard, would you believe, fascinating.

We met people we hadn’t seen in quite some time, and ones that we have just spoken to on the phone.
The news media was all over the place print and TV, even FOX, not an Obama friend.
They did interviews with 4H, and solar panel people and soy insulation sprayers, poured form people and you name it, if it made your domain stronger, less expensive to live in utility wise, cleaner, neater and truly greener they were there and were being given the third degree by anyone who thought this was totally dandy! And not one singsong stated that it’s not that easy being green, everyone there insisted it was very easy and downright foolish if you didn’t become green too!
Well, OK Kermit, I’m with the others while you struggle with your greenish the rest of us are going there without reckless abandonment.
What will you do Froggy pal when we all join the green race?
It will be a lot easier for you, won’t it?
Then you will have to change your tune…

Good night to all and to all be a lot of silly and a lot of green too!
Count those blessings and I will as well.
